GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

The PC release of Wreckfest is still planned for 2017, but obviously the version we played yesterday is still work in progress, with many things that are not final yet. We were surprised to see that cars now turn more easily, which makes the handling much easier and more arcadey, something that might not be to everyone's liking. The feedback we get from the track is also a bit disappointing, with too few vibrations in the controller to really feel the car and understand what's going on. That said, the version we played yesterday is not final, so let's hope the game will turn out well when the game is finally ready to leave Early Access this Winter.

Love the gameplay, but not sure I would pay full price for it. There just doesn't seem to be enough content. I would also love to see some higher speed races, as most of these are pretty plodding.

That being said, I absolutely love the vehicle physics in the game. It has the old heavy, musclecar floaty handling of the original driver games, and the best damage modeling of any game out there. If only every racing game put this much emphasis on physics rather than shiny graphics...

Always loved the Flatout games. This looks pretty good, but I wish they spent more time on the sound effects - I don't hear a lot of interaction between the car and the road surfaces.
