Played the game preview and didn't know what to expect but it really surprised me.The sense and feeling this game gave me was something new . still didn't bought it because i think it's a bit hardcore for me but i've looked some videos and visit forum and it has really committed players . Maybe when the expansion 'horizon' follows i'll jump in .

the only way i'd ever bother with this game is if it supported morpheus when it comes to the PS4.

I bought it when it was still preview, but honestly....i just can't really get into the game. I'm probably doing something wrong, but little is truly explained here. I did do all the tutorial missions, but i'm just....lost.

I'm playing the PC version, and i'm not sure how the X1 version compares. If there's been made any changes or anything. It took a while to understand how everything worked. Things have improved (if only a tiny bit), but when it launched a year ago most gameplay elements and ship functions weren't really explained, so the learning curve could be steep.

From quick testing on the PC version, using a gamepad controls ok, but a good HOTAS setup gives you the extra fine and smooth control that can help when putting that crosshair on the enemy.

Looking forward to getting a VR-set and also the forthcoming planetary landing and exploration.

I think even TrackIR would do the job, when it comes to "dogfights".

RAWR!!! It's important that I jump into a conversation that I have nothing of value to add and as I've proclaimed, I'm not even interested in, but I feel the need to express my opinion to generate noise amongst a world of noise!!!!

RAWR!!! ;)

I still play it fairly regularly.

It's a very difficult game to start without someone helping as the tutorials only teach the gameplay mechanics. When you start the game, you're completely lost and alone in space. I don't know if it's intentional but I doubt it.

When you start picking up the ways to make money in the galaxy, you'll be better but there's still a lot to learn. If you are interested, there is a great community of gamers helping each other out. It's a subreddit called /EliteOne. I recommend it for everyone starting in this game.

There isn't a final objective to the game, you just earn money(in many different ways) however you want to get yourself another ship that is able to make you more money. For me it's not an addictive game, but it's a great experience to come back to. Sometimes I go exploring the millions of systems available in the game, sometimes I head over to some system with factions at war to make some profit as a mercenary destroying ships, sometimes I do smuggling missions.

Well, you'd certainly like to think so. I mean, it's the sort of game that's perfect for VR just by design. If it's not, then Morpheus might as well not exist. Didn't they demo Morpheus with this before, or was it Oculus?

becasue no-mans sky lets you land on planets and do stuff other then fly a ship (yes. i know elite is in the process of adding this, but it's still lesser in scope)

one is an accessible exploration game. the other is a comparatively hardcore space flight sim. one has a unique art style. the other does not.

...saying that, i'm still on the fence about no mans sky. if the elements that make up the game aren't compelling i couldn't care less about that either...although if it had morpheus support it would certainly help
