505 Games and Overkill Software announced with a teaser, the arrival this summer of Payday 2. The sequel to Payday: The Heist will provide some alternatives in the approach of the various missions. The game will be available on Steam, Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network.

I'd really love to see a serious third person heist game that's more like stealth & puzzle solving.

I mean, this is a neat, but it looks as if it would get boring fast.

I played the first game on a Steam free weekend and thought it was sorta surprisingly fun.

It's sorta a L4D-like-co-op thing but it's cops and robbers instead of zombies :D A little rough around the edges, but decent scenarios/co-op gameplay.

Not quite a mad dash for the safe house.. there are other objectives. Each scenario is a different heist.

Overkill software was founded by ex-Grin developers, and they are using their own engine "DIESEL", which was also used in the previous title.
