Video PC

Here are two gameplay videos of Dead Rising 3 on PC, captured in uncapped frame rate mode. The first one shows the latter part of game, where there are thousands of zombies. The second one focuses on Nick Ramos' melee combat abilities and realtime cut scene, followed by a quick tour of the in-game menu options.
These videos are courtesy of Wbacon, Capcom Digital Platforms director who explains here you can expect the game to run fine when uncapped.

Glad to hear about this
while Dead Rising 3 is optimized to run at 30 frames per second for gameplay reasons, you can expect it to still run fine uncapped under most conditions provided you have a capable enough hardware.

About time! all PC games should support uncapped performance. If not then they obviously don't know PC gaming very well.

Number of zombies is nice, but everything else looks so bad, horrid textures, low poly everything. And still it requires a beast to run smooth.

Define "beast" and "smooth."

They recommend a 7970, and that's probably just to play it at 30 fps. there can be literally thousands of zombies on screen (if you gather a crowd), coupled with far drawing distances. huge numbers and large vistas normally would slow any unprepared PC.

If this was on Steam for 10 dollars I wouldn't buy it. The graphics, gameplay, crappy animation, everything looks like something from 10 years ago. I can't fathom why on this earth even the Xbone had to run this game at 720p/30fps. Wow.

I wouldn't be surprised if this ran all that well on lower end hardware. I bet a 770 is enough. I'm running 780 /brag.

Damn Japanese trite, no wonder Capcom's going under. This game is an insult to Zombie games. It's funny that the 3rd parties that back Microsoft exclusively are going bust; Crytek, Capcom, you best be careful Insomniac.

So nothing before 180/60 was smooth?

You people have some really high standards.

And this game is meant to be fun as shit, not be the beauty of the ball. I'd rather have a a decent looking girl who goes down on me every night than a hot chick who won't.

Wow can't believe how poor this looks now it's in a high resolution, looked great on Xbone, obviously smoke and mirrors and low resolution helped mask its flaws.

Better looking on PC no doubt but AMD badge in video makes me sick, if it were Nvidia it would look even better.

GPU manufactures aren't the culprit, AMD makes 5+ tflops GPUs and so does Nvidia. This game lacks proper optimization. but make no mistake, the amount of zombies that CAN be rendered in dead rising 3 can be massive. i played the game a while back.

Btw, The person isn't playing with all settings on. Motion blur is off.

LOL at the comparison, but come on, it's 2014, 1080p/60fps should be the standard, that's what the consoles said they'd bring in and they failed, and we KNOW the PC can get it done, if decently optimized! Come on lets not set the bar low!

most games with Nvidia badges don't run on AMD cards that well either. I don't see how this would make things any better. i can't wait for the DX12 API to come out, that should change all this.

as far as im aware there is only one title that runs worse with AMD GPU's vs Nvidia GPU's "watchdogs" but i wouldn't have gone as far as saying *most games with Nvidia badges don't run on AMD cards that well* cause that simply is not true at all.

I'm pretty sure Nvidia is just taking their time right now. Kepler isn't exactly new. AMD just caught up.

I have a few titles like metro 2033, BF3, and Bioshock infinite. which they definitely aren't unplayable if that's what you mean but they aren't running as good as they could be.
