awesome, PES is the best football series game and i can't wait for pes 2008
The quality in Pro Evo is where it counts - gameplay.
I can`t wait and now been able to use live camera to add logos and game faces, looks like we gonna get a full version this time round...
FIFA 08 will probably its flaws and issues, but I really appreciate that beginning last year EA has really been taking FIFA into the next-generation with things like new physics engine last year and now with the new analogue trick system, which is really next-gen to me and vastly improved KI. If they have fixed the issues of the last game and after having played the game already I believe they have fixed most of them, FIFA will be a very good and quality football game. And the new features like "be a pro" and especially the online leagues and the interactive leagues appeal to me and make it a must buy for me. And btw the player models are noticably improved in 08. The whole lightning in the game is much better and the players now look like actual humans.
PES again this year with some little improvements. They are not reinventing the game and bringing it to next-gen, they are still only improving little things to perfectionize their old engine and the only next-gen upgrade are slightly better looking player models.
Why should Konami write a new physics engine and game engine when the current one is near perfect? Just because EA are writing a new one to catch up doesn't mean Konami should throw everything away and start again. That's just daft.
ps. I've always preferred the more natural look of PES to Fifa. There's something horrid about the stylised graphics in Fifa which are intended to make it look like a render. It just looks odd. And too cartoony. And there's too many un-natural canned animations in Fifa that make it look forced and, well, wrong. PES always looks right. To my eyes PES looks, and always has looked, better than Fifa - it's an a design choice by the developers, and I just like the aesthetics of PES better. Whether or not there are more or less polygons in play I cannot say. It'd be great to see gobsmacking graphics but it's not gonna happen this time around, maybe not even this gen. But the gameplay should never be more than an evolution, a step towards perfection.
