So wait, does this mean that there's a third person cover mechanic in there (especially looking at you, picture three)? Or do they just wanna show up the Craig model?

Yes. It has a 3rd person cover system like Rainbow SiX Vegas and a 3rd person stealth system too. It's running on the Call of Duty 4 game engine, so graphic will be pretty good once they finish polishing the game and the game combines stealth action with 1st person shooting act.

It gives you the option to go in with guns blazing or taking the smarter route by be stealthy and using your gadgets to even the odds. We all know that 007 does have shoot outs but uses his brains and gadgets to even the odds.

Rather them just steal Uncharted and skin James Bond over the entire game.

If it's as good as The Bourne Conspiracy (Bond begins to act like Jason Bourne in the last movie) or better, I'm surely going to pick this one up.
It'd better not be like the Bourne Conspiracy...horrible "game" (read: "interactive cutscene")!

It has a lot of interactive cutscenes, but I still think it is a great game. It's realy fast, full of adrenalin and the interactive cutscenes keep you on the top of your toes. And the hand-to-hand combat is really addictive. And it's that part I would like to see in the bond game.
I guess it's a matter of personal preference.

I myself still find myself reminissing about games like the James Bond ones. Games where you go from one exotic place to the other. Finding yourself in these massive nuclear plants and other typical "James Bond environments" fighting you're way through with gadgets and stuff. Just pure awesomeness!

That's exactly what I'm worried about, now if only they could have got Infinity Ward to work on it... then we might have had something really special...

If it's anything like Bourne Conspiracy, that would be ace in my book!

Considering that the new Bond movies are directly inspired from Bourne films. They could just get the High Moon dudes to do this, to get the intense hand-to-hand combat.

made by the same people that made CoD3 and the spider-man games.. the only hope this game has is that they manage to use the CoD4 engine properly, but i wish Activision would have given this project to IW instead

Well Activision just publishes the games but Treyarch is developing it and they make pretty good games because the Spiderman and Call of Duty games are major hits. But I totally agree with you, Infinity Ward would've done a better job than Treyarch imo. But let's not forget people that this is a movie game and we all know that they suck big time so don't expect too much from this game even if it's done on the CoD engine.

I'm guessing this is a proof of concept, to show that they can use the engine and make a good game, so people stop doubting CoD 5. Question is, will it work?

Talk about disappointing...After seeing the gameplay footage and the direction they're taken this game in I have absolutely ZERO confidence this will be anything to look forward to.

It looks like your average (emphasis on AVERAGE) fps/tps with a little "James Bond" sauce sprinkled on top. What a letdown... :(
