I bought The Good, The Bad and the Ugly and For a Few more Dollars (i think thats the name), and i watched it with my dad, lol great times. We both say The Good, The Bad and the Ugly is the best one. From scenes and music, especially the choir and whistles :)
Anyways, I am going to show that new video to my dad and see what his reaction and comment will be like because there has never been such an amazingly accurate and atmospheric spaghetti western feel like in gaming and what Rockstar is doing with Red Dead Redemtion will definitely please any western fans out there.
The main character looks pretty awesome too, I like the design, very gritty western look to him. And some of the clothes given to him is pretty nice, I like this outfit alot http://images.gamersyde.com/image_red_dead_redempt... pretty awesome
I know you can customize on what to wear, but do you guys know if you can change hair/facial hair? like different facial hair or haircuts.
I am not complaining because he looks great but just a question just in care :P
So what did your Dad Say ?:)
So what did your Dad Say ?:)
Speaking of dads,I gave my dad the Sergio Leone's collection in DVD as a birthday present he loves those movies too, when this comes out I will show it to him and let him at least make the dream more or less come true of him being a outlaw riding a horse!!

But tomorrow I will definitely show it to him. He doesnt like gaming or anything, however he doesnt mind seeing stuff he likes from TV in gaming...such as football (soccer) or spaghetti western that has that Clint Eastwood vibe.
I like western era, but not love it so much that I have to buy this one. However I am looking into this title because of how perfect they captured a spaghetti western style to it and that I enjoy it from time to time.
I hope they release a demo.

Sergio Leone did some amazing good stuff, and I like his work a lot !
He definitely inspired generations with those Movies ,especially the western themed ones.
Mostly he took Enio Morricone for the Soundtracks and scoring his works ,
that helped a lot to divine and stand out !
Just imagine "The Good,The Bad,and The Ugly " with out that amazing score...can't !
I am glad that Rockstar used a similar style in the OST as they did with Red Dead Revolver back then !
This Game looks really really promising, hope it can live up to it !
@Sath
Can imagine thats a long flight and for sure tiring !
Guess it will be a nice surprise today then !

But yeah, I am at work now so when I get home I will show it to him and write his impressions here.
But TBH, I am not western fanatic, but I do like it alot when the mood and feel is just right. Red Dead Redemption has a certain "spark" to it that make it so, so even though I wasent originally looking into this, but now that I am, it is growing on me.
A good change I must say from all the modern/sci-fi war games (even though I prefer sci-fi interms of shooting genre above all).
Having a western done right is pretty nice...so far.
Had some good times with Phantasy Star and Star Ocean back then on SNES and PS2 :)
Most Games that are not so reality bound i prefer to the ones that just play in a pseudo real today ! I have enough reality everyday around me !
doesn't mean I dislike them,if the gameplay is alright I give them a chance !
Did anyone here play "Gun" ?
It's a western themed sandbox game too,but really couldn't hold me for long !
So I know what you mean when you talk about this Spark that can ignite something in you,and Red Dead Redemption seems to have it !
He liked it, he said that RS seems to try to make a accurate spaghetti western as possible and has The Good, The Bad And The Ugly vibe in this but also the more "modern" westerns like wyatt Earp and Open Range with Kevin Costner.
So yeah he liked it, nice visuals, nice editing, accurate western look and feel and great voice acting and a cool main character design for John.
:)
:)
He says no other western movie can come close to the old school Clint Eastwood westerns...none, espeially The Good, The Bad And The Ugly!
He also really likes the music in those movies as well, especially the whistle parts LOL
Also says that he watched these movies in theaters in Iran when he was younger in black and white, so he is pretty hardcore old school when it comes to western taste :)
He also laughed on The Law trailer with the two duputies involved.
After the part about cutting someones throat they show one of them sitting on some poor guy's back making fun of him LOL.
That movie is one of my favorites and probably my Dad's all time favorite too.

Many dads who are into western I assume generally prefers the old western movies, especially with Eastwood.
I personally prefer this movie LMAO
