Pure awesomeness.

This will probably be one of the greatest games this year IMO.

I HOPE there is a user creation interface or an upgrade system or the ability to also use mods for the ps3 version or some progression/ evolution system in place for countless hours of replayability.

if the ps3 version gets supported by free mods and free dlc from valve then MS seriously need to think about where they're going with this regulated live thing. It pisses me off knowing that i have to pay for L4D dlc just because i supported valve by buying the game on console instead of PC. Not only am i paying the play the game online i'd also be helping to fund dlc so pc gamers can get it for free... and now they'd be expecting me to fund dlc so that it can be offered to ps3 owners for free too?

I'm lucky enough to own both a ps3 and 360..and theres no way i'd choose the 360 version over the ps3 one when the possibility of it ultimately costing me £20 extra in order to get the full experience in the end.

If Valve stuck to PC development, you'd get free DLC anyway, it's something they believe in. Your only paying for DLC because of Microsoft's closed Live Network. The PS3 has Steamworks because it is an open system like the PC.

The PS3 version also comes with two versions of the game and can play across platforms. It's clearly the best console version this time.

They already said that console versions get access to any levels made by users, but you can only create content on the PC. Still, having access to those mods will be awesome, and chances are if your really into modding, you have a PC capable of it.
