Gears of War 3: Horde Command pack

Epic Games has announced that the first DLC for Gears of War 3 will be out on November 1st. This one will contain additional achievements worth 250 Gamerscore, 3 new maps (Azura, Rustlung and Bloodrive), new fortification upgrades, two weapon skins and three new characters (Onyx Guard, Big Rig Dizzy and Bernie Mataki). It will cost you 800 MSP if you don't have the Season Pass.


Horde Command Pack

• Three spectacular new maps:
— Blood Drive – The Jacinto Medical Plaza was overwhelmed by evacuated citizens after the government-sanctioned Hammer Strikes, and the ensuing riots quickly turned this safe haven into a dangerous inferno. An abundance of high ground and funneled choke points make this map a returning favorite to Horde.
— Rustlung – Once the pride of the Royal Tyran Navy, the foredecks of this decommissioned battleship are now riddled with bullet holes. Any team with the fortitude to hold the exposed central torpedo bay will find that the ship’s Loader has been replaced with a battle-ready Silverback mech suit.
— Azura – This island resort was once the exclusive domain of Sera’s educated elite, but the tranquil water gardens and lush foliage have become a hotly contested combat zone. Dual snipers overlook a powerful explosive weapon, while the defensive central platform may be your last resort of retreat.

• New fortification upgrades:
— Command Center – A brand new type of fortification that allows you to call in fire support from sniper teams, mortar strikes and even multiple Hammers of Dawn.
— Decoy Upgrade – A new fortification level that turns your decoy into an Onyx Guard bot that will fight in your defense.
— Sentry Upgrade – This upgrade adds a fire bolt sentry that deals much more damage and is very effective against Berserkers.
— Silverback Upgrade – This advancement allows you to upgrade your Silverback exo-suit with devastating rockets and extra levels of repair cost reduction.

• New characters:
Onyx Guard
Big Rig Dizzy
Bernie Mataki

• New weapon skins:
— Team Plasma
— Jungle Camo

More additions for the best co-op game this gen? Yes, please! :D

I hope at some point Epic add more stuff to Beast mode. It's quite cool, but too short.

Hmm so they're actually adding a silverback mech to a competitive multiplayer map now. Should be interesting. So glad they brought back Blood Drive too.

This game's amazing. Already enjoyed it so much and I have yet to touch horde or beast mode.

Yep that is how to deal with all the DLC thing. Getting a game 1 yr down the line with all contents for less than 60$. No need to pay 90$ for seasonal pass or these DLC

yeah, paying for something which is already on the disc (including the 3 maps, characters and the LOL silverback rockets).
There have been infos found on the disc for even more charcaters like RAAM from Gears 1. Confirmed by modders.

This DLC here has a size of some KBytes. Not worth 800 MS points, not even 1.

The additions sound great! almost at lvl 50 , then getting this for sure!

Fight the DLC thing people! SKYRIM is going to have lot's as well, similar to almost every game nowadays. :P
Now seriously - i hate this trend and it's really rare thing to throw money for DLC. Gears 3 is exception, because we play lot's of Horde/Multiplayer.

Not a geas fan but DLC's of 40$ or season pass, pack for 30$ is ridiculous.

This DLC is 800MS points and for Horde MP, thats what we are talking about and its fracking great, Horde is so much fun!

Thing is the main full game was done for april they have been working on all these extras from then so i dont mind. 800 ms is good enuff for me :D

If you think a four pack of dlc for $30 is rediculous, you better not even look at the dlc for any COD game. You'll have a heart attack. I'm usually a dlc hater but this game is such a damn good value already that I'm willing to look past it at this price. Season pass is a nice option to get the discount.

i am a gears fan and it isnt ridiculous. since season pass gives you 4 DLCs for free

more content = better for the games i love

I simply hate premium DLC that splits online communities (maps etc).. It shows no respect at all towards us gamers.. Epic should be ashamed, especially considering where they came from.. I guess they forgot their UT days..

I don't mind cosmetic premium DLC though as it still allows everybody that bought the game to play together..

Everything is on the disk and as far as I remember first dlc was meant to be free. I fucking hate DLCs few weeks after game's release.....and I also hate myself for being ready to buy this day one. Greedy bastards.
