The alpha version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance is now available to all backers, and thanks to the kindness of the developers (and the help of a fellow Gamersyde member), we have been able to capture a few minutes of this demo. As you'll see, despite a few pop-up issues, the game in its current state really looks fantastic, so it's safe to say it puts Cry Engine 3 to good use. We've also been quite impressed by the game's body awereness, something we think is surprisingly lacking in most titles today. These very few minutes in the world of Kingdom Come have been very immersive to say the least and we have to say we love the original score. Again, we'd like to thanks the development team for sending us a code, expect to see more of the game in the very near future.
Note: The few frame rate drops you might notice are due to the capture.

As soon as the choppy NPCs showed up the illusion was gone, though. But its an alpha so..
I am really looking forward to it. Could need some work on the animations though. But I think to offer a small world and continiously expand it is a good approach for a small dev team.
It reminds me of vanishing of ethan carter..graphically fantastic environments but ingame characters that look like they are from a 2006 game
Would've been even better footage without Motion Blur, very apparent pop-in and with much higher Level-Of-Detail distance.
But, yeah, it's just a Tech Alpha.
Even aliasing is not as unrealistic, because it is always there. But when something changes form or appears out of nowhere, it kills the immersion.
They have their own mocap studio now so I'm sure we'll see great improvements in all areas including animations as it matures in its development :)
