Announced at the same time than a certain Gears of War 3, Bulletstorm should be an over the top FPS in which the player will be rewarded for his skills thanks to a skillshot system that will alow him to upgrade his character. Epic Games and People Can Fly (Painkiller) are currently working on this new IP that should not be released before 2011. Until then, here are the very first images of the game.

Art-style is kind of Brink feat. Gears of War. I like it. But it's quite obvious that this game has to be seen in motion.

When Epic bought those guys because theis game was AWESOME to play, i bet it will be something good in that department.

Wow, I mean... wow, this looks good. Doesn't look like bullshots either. I hope it has good feel of weight to it and a a lot of gore.

I see the horrible character-physics also seen in Painkiller in screenshot 3. The characters look like wooden puppets being pulled by a string attatched to their asses. :p

BUT I'd like to see this baby in motion. Since I love shooters with RPG elements. I came to love that system by playing the BioShock games, hawsuuuum.

That building in the last picture has some beautiful architecture.
They should built it somewhere in the real world!

Maybe beacuse it IS being pulled by a string, in this case a plant-tongue. i dunno.

Heh showed this to a mate yesterday as it was on kotaku, we both agreed the environments are fantastic, the general design just looks great to me it's all very interesting. Fast paced action can be fun to, doesn't always hold my attention but resistance 2 sure as hell did which was odd (especially as I really dislike the 1st). So their is room for a mindless fast paced shooter in me so I hope to see this tur out well because like I said I love the setting.

it looks fizzly so i'd definately rule out bullshots.

can't say this is looking perticularly good tho. or it's not exactly doing much to make me want to play it. maybe if we see more of it?

Between Halo Reach and Gears 3, this game is gonna really struggle on the 360, which is bad b/c that system sells so many more FPSs last I heard. The visuals aren't much and more importantly, the atmosphere doesn't seem all that interesting IMO.

of course, if the gameplay looks fresh, it could surprise people i think. but im not counting on it.
