Officially confirmed not long ago, Killzone 3 finially shows itself with these three images. Snow, jetpacks, Helghasts, nothing really original at ifrst sight, but with Guerilla's mastery of the hardware, we can expect some mindblowing visuals. Sony has also announced that the game will be playable in 3D.

Halo didnt come up with jetpacks, even Killzone Liberation had it.
So if anything, Killzone 3 is returning the jetpack feature from Killzone Liberation, not because Halo Reach.
I hope Killzone 3 fixes some of the issues KZ2 had such as movement (I doubt they will do much about it) and the levels of MP and "Assault class" which sucks!
Maybe you should check facts before you comment...
Killzone 2 didnt look good in screenshots but great in motion.
Atleast, for now, Killzone 3 do look good in screenshot, probably fantastic in motion.
I am SUPER glad that they are going to have arctic levels.
With the special effects GG does like lightning storm, winds and dust...etc. just an overal atmosphere, I can only imagine how it would be like with a snow level :D
This only means brighter levels and cooler (I like snow :P)
""Although they're not shown up and running, concept art for several of the levels show that this will be a relative kaleidoscope of colour, with the dreary wastelands left in the wake of Killzone 2's nuke giving way to jungles filled with phosphorous light, through to the brilliant white of the snowbound level we get to play today.""

Looks like the second one with snow added, who would guess? Just like Gears 3 looks like the second with more colour added. Whoopie f- doo, sequels these days. So exciting.
i can't wait.
the 3D stuff sounds like it ads a lot based on the ign preview tho. the dev said its not enough to make a bad game good, but it's enough to make a great game amazing. they say it added to the atmopshere immensely. if it wasnt for the fact i own a HD tv already, i'd go 3D in a heartbeat. hell. if sony support 3D in a big way, with some key franchises take advantage of it, i might even take the jump sooner rather then later.
And besides... if KZ3 doesn't change the inherently wonky and broken controls from KZ2 and not even considering this game as an option for 2011. Never finished KZ2 because of its controls!

I agree.. the 3D stuff sounds like it adds alot to the experience. But hardly anybody that invests in this game is going to get that experience...so the gambles there for very little pay off. I simply think it's too soon to be pushing resources for AAA titles on 3D at this point.
halo reach is the first game that used the jetpacks in an awesome way and feel.
and that was just the beta
@radsy:
What?! I haven't even played the game and I can see it's clearly nothing like Halo.
