GSY Preview Switch

Super Mario Odyssey is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of the end of the year. It is with a little apprehension, but also a lot of excitement that we put our hands on the Joy-Cons to discover some elements of gameplay for approximately one hour. It was quite difficult for us to stop playing the game, and we are looking forward to the release date, in the meantime though, we offer you a bunch videos we captured ourselves.

Nintendo's games' beautiful art styles and gorgeous colors deserve a high quality treatment to truly pop out. Super Mario Odyssey looks freaking epic every time I see it. Just looks incredibly fun and jolly as hell. Another GOTY contender.

Played these videos on my 65B6 and to my surprise it looks really crisp, even when sitting 2 meters away from the TV. My guess this is at least 900p or higher.

1st party Nintendo games are really polished, its pretty impressive.

I think it like you, the look is great.
For me The resolution is dynamic 1080p, with a range of 800p-1080p like splatoon 2.

Definitely dynamic res. And why in 2017 are they using checkerboard transparency? Damn... Also noticed Mario's voice and various other sfx sound a bit rough. like they're 11KHz or something. Seems to be using selective AA too, Mario seems smooth but you can see aliasing on stuff in the levels. Might just be proximity based or dynamic like res. Just got to the 5th vid and the music sounded all rough at the beginning too. Hopefully just the vids, would be a pretty big issue if the sound was broken like that in the final version. Saw a bit of stuttering too, guessing they set a lower limit to the dynamic res and when it got a bit too much the fps drops instead.
