It's also important to note that Arkane Studios, id Software, and Machine Games have released great games in these past few years with both Dishonored, Doom (2016), and Wolfenstein: The New Order respectively.
And as it was very clear last night during The Game Awards 2016, they have great relationships with each other and help each other out. They even helped Bethesda with the shooting gameplay in Fallout 4.
Also, Doom (2016) had the same problem that during most of its marketing till launch, most people were worried that the game would suck since most showings were either of the average multiplayer mode or weak showings. But in the end it turned out an excellent game well worth playing many times.
So I wouldn't discount Prey just yet, we have only seen very little of it and until we see and learn more about it, we should keep an open mind.
From what I can tell on this it looks like a sci fi version of Dishonored 2. I think that'd appeal to a lot of people, but it might be hard to pull off.
It's unfortunate that this walk through is mostly a tech/ability showcase. If it has a great story it could be an awesome game.
I suggest you read up on this if you are interested in buying this game (or anything from Bethesda for that matter).
