Video Xbox 360 PS3

Ubisoft sent us a preview build of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, and we are able to show you guys this first video, to be followed by a few more in the next few days and a full preview on Thursday evening. So let's start with the Water Freezing power, with as an added bonus what happens when you forget to disable it in the middle of a platforming sequence :)
Update: Added a video showing the dash power.

OKAY, This is LOOKING HOT!!!! Day one confirmed, that's it!

I had doubts but they are all gone now. All it takes is a good smooth video reminding me of Sands of time and this did it nicely :)

QUESTION Blimblim, if you please: Do u have an unlimited amount of units to rewind time? I cant see anything depleting after u used the rewind? Thanks.

This might seem like a pretty gripe, but why would water turn solid because you top time?

Other than that it looks like good ol' PoP acrobatics. Looks a lot better than the previous crapfest.

It's not slowing down time that stops the water. The prince this time can control elements:Water, fire....etc

gotta be honest.. it looks pretty "meh" to me. Void of personality and charm that was instantly present in the previous game

i got that from all i've seen of it so far. Dev videos as well as this. And yes, the impression it offered was that of something very generic in art design. And not, to me personally, earning praise of "looks absolutely awesome". Sorry

Yes there was. The game freaking palyed itself. It was also repetitive and boring beyond belief. the characters were cookie-cutter shite and the only thing that was any good about it was the art style, which was still better in Sands of Time.

Because water flows, runs, spray or whatever, its motion can easily be disturberd. If time stops, why wouldn't the water freeze in motion? I think if water could actually freeze from time freezing, it would indeed solidy. Otherwise it would no longer be concidered frozen in time.

Read my above posts. It;s not TIME SLOWING that freezes Water. The prince, in this game, CONTROLS the elements as well as time. Water doesn't freeze if you slow down time, it'll just SLOW down - simples!

It would stop in place but the viscosity would still be the same, it'd still be liquid. Unless stopping time also stops the electron spin, in which case the prince would freeze the instant he touched any matter as it would be at absolute zero temperature. If water solidifies when time stops, what about gasses? Shouldn't the gasses in the atmosphere, and filling the room, also solidify when time stops? But if he has specific powers for manipulating the elements i can buy in to it.

Just let me clarify that i don't think that it's a thing actually, it was just something i pointed out for fun ;)

It looks solid, but seems to have a soulless atmosphere, compared to POP 2008. Maybe lack of music, or that this is just a slice. Art/level design looks been-there-done-that.

Why do they put combat in? Ubi Montreal admitted that POP's combat is second-rate compared to other games, that's why there was hardly any in POP 2008. The dash move does look badass, though.
