Images PC Wii U Xbox 360 PS3

The Project CARS community is still very active as you may know, so this week we've decided to show you what these guys are capable of. All the images you can see here are in-game, as there is no photo mode included in Slightly Mad Studio's title - which means no possibility to add tons of post-FX filters to improve the game's looks. Miguel is still planning on capturing anew series of 1080p videos but until that happens, enjoy the screenshots!

Looks so much better here then it did a few months back. Wonder if people will be able to handle the slot together trees though? because the way people reacted about the trees in GT5 you'd think it was a make or break element of a driving game. Hahaha.

Nice improvment, tracks really look good by now (and trees look like trees lol), shadowing is still a bit off

Ooh, just noticed that ( http://images.gamersyde.com/thumb_image_project_ca... ). Alright in 2005, but when you've got open world racing games putting out very nice trees, it just smacks of laziness. Which is a shame, because the rest of the game looks damned good (apart from http://images.gamersyde.com/thumb_image_project_ca... , which is just all wrong...)

If only the handling was like Forza or Gran Turismo, this would be the perfect racer.

I never understood to that histery about trees in GT5. Maybe it was for so someone who drives 50-80 mph, but in races, I dont give a shit about trees. In GT5 I was very disappointed, that not all tracks were remastered. WTF were they doing all those years??? OK. But this looks really sweet.

Completely on another level graphics wise compared to Forza and GT...But will the gameplay be? Under the bonnet it supposedly feels a bit like Shift which instantly puts me off. If they pull this off i hope to see this on nxt-gen consoles rather than current!

Nah, up until now: Track detail stuff -> FM4 still wins with ease, but they will no doubt improve them further. I wonder how good it'll look once it's finished.

let's wait until we see how Project Cars will look on consoles/PS3, maybe it'll look as outdated and clean/sterile as GT5

Not sure if serious.

Shift2 has great graphics and track detail and this is made by same dev so this will be great as well. PC shots or screenshots always look great though.

Yes...thats possible. We will see. But Im looking forward to this, because I want it for PC. For now, GT5 is the best for me.

And of course...Im comparing it to GT5, which is much much older. So...its a little unfair.

yeah of course it's unfair, compared to playing on a good PC consoles like PS3 or 360 were outdated since the day they were launched, and the difference becomes more and more visible with every year...

Yeah that's the worry and chances are the physics wont be as good either. Hopefully it will be a locked 60fps framerate though like Forza games.

Shift 2 tracks were horrendous lol, Tons and tons of things all over the track that should not of been there! Arund Spa they had fairground rides coming over the track! CRAZY!

I'm bloody serious about this. I remember a dev diary of FM4 where a guy photographed a little scratch/bump in the concrete. That sort of detail stuff. Have to admit it's gotten considerably better but it's still far away from being on an equal level. In my book a high resolution ins't automatically winning over detail texture work.

Its still way behind serious sims like Rfactor 2 or Iracing in physics department, but graphics are gorgeus

I dont think this game is aimed at that crowd...more Sim but not full out ie like Forza and GT games.

Still not convinced with this game. I don't know how normal some things are at this stage of development, but there's some moments of brilliance, with a ton of very rough edges in graphics, sounds (terrible), physics, etc.

It's just too weird overall, but as I've said before, maybe I'm just not used to seeing a game in its true form during development.

I think it's normal. There is only couple tracks currently that seems to have most features included (wet asphalt texture, tracks lights at night, etc.). Same for cars. Some are just more complete at this time. Also users can have quite different settings enabled, when they take screenshots too.

In realism I am pretty sure GT is ahead of these games. But I have never played it. However in Forza4 except laguna seca which is good other tracks are pretty poorly done. Shift2 has amazing graphics and tracks, best cockpit view in any racing game. Perfect driver animations. Cars looks amazing as well.

I am not surprised by this game at all.

Your trippin, The tracks in Forza 4 are outstanding. The Ring is not as good as GT5's i'l give you that but all others are superb. Shift 2 has a better varition of tracks than F4 and GT5 but the realism soon vanishes with all the shit they dot around the track and with god awful physics ...No amazing cockpit view can make up for it.
