GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

What a pleasant surprise, Alan Boiston, sent us a new batch of Project CARS videos, this time of the Xbox One version of the game. Unfortunately, Alan wasn't sure if this was pre-patch or not, so keep this in mind when watching. Again, we'd like to thanks Team VVV for their help with the console coverage of the game, so please support them and check out their Youtube channel when you get a chance.
Update: Two videos added.

the stuttering of one of the opponent drivers at 2:40 mins. in that second video "Video Xbox #2" is hopefully not final. Also the aliasing is all over the place :(

It' s a replay bug, don't worry. The bug is present in all versions and it will eventually be fixed. It never happens in gameplay. All of Alan's videos are from replays.

Maybe it's just me though, but to me Forza 5 looks a lot better. Car models definitely.

The AI cars in Forza 5 look abysmal they have such a low LOD unless they are 2ft infront of you, Overall PCars is the better looking game by a distance and they can do it with 30-40 cars on track compared to Forza's 16.

I feel like this part isn't said enough.

And Forza 5 probably does look better on Xbox One.

900p sigh. What nobody realises is that image quality is highly dependent on a screens scaler, and for monitors this can be a real issue. I wished xbone versions offered cinematic black bars for a native 1080p image.

Every single game on XBOne outputs at native 1080p, no scaling is ever performed by the monitor/TV. If the game renders internally at any resolution below 1920x1080, then the XBOne scaler comes into play to scale the rendered image up to a native 1920x1080 res, and then that result is sent to the external display.

Hold up.....ghosting? I have seen a few videos and i did not notice that anywhere. I bet they will look nearly identical except for resolution. Probably a few more jaggies on X1.

The gfx are nice but I thought it would look better. Replays run at 30fps but did not feel smooth. First video the car rear view is very low quality and basically useless. Honestly I think 16 or max 24cars are enough. There is hardly so many cars at a screen except the replays.

I like it how you get your kicks from any minor negative thing regarding the game. It is also quite interesting in its own way.

The thing is I have been playing the game since 2012 and my opinion is based on experience. Yours mainly rely on your psychic abilities. Forgive me if I keep believing you're wrong. The market for the game is favorable, it's purely mathematical. Only those who have sworn an oath to Forza will not take this opportunity to play a sim racer until number six arrives later this year. I'm not saying the game will be perfect at launch by any means, but there's a lot to enjoy for anyone who likes the racing genre.

There's nothing wrong with that, but SMS thinks people should have the choice to create larger races, even at the cost of framerate. If people don't like that trade-off they can stick to 16-20 opponents (which is the hard limit in other consoles racers). In the worst case scenario pCARS still runs faster than Driveclub for example, while giving you tons more options to customize your experience.

PC/PS4/XB1.

PS4 has improvements over XB1, higher quality shadows, higher rez, higher framerate, another AA pass.

As far as a comparison between PC and Forza, many things are baked in Forza, awful crowds, foliage, no weather etc.

As a comparison over Driveclub, Driveclub has a larger and higher density track with high poly cars, but less of them. dynamic weather conditions and is locked at 30fps with no tear. I asked this question to devs ages ago. The game unlocked runs between 45-60+fps. But they decided to lock.
