This game was supposed to be PS3 exclusive..... this gen the attack of the cross plattform games. If things keep like this. The whole competition will bowl down to first party exclusives. aka MS FTW.

I've just seen it over on the official site... it's looking really good. I've actually never heard of the game until today and it's generated quite a bit of hype for me just with that trailer, assuming its all real-time, in-game footage. Nice!

I'm pretty impressed with all the third party software companies out of Europe lately. I mean, this is by no means top bar graphics, but alot of those shots still look pretty nice. Here's hoping they deliver on the gameplay side of things as well.

Hmm the graphics seem ok, but the whole Body models are totally off, they look like people of " height restriction " to be honest.

I like the graphics, not too dark, shiny or bloomy. I still believe that the best games this generation are not going to come down to technical graphical achievement; But, rather to artistic style.

This game was announced last year. They said it was for next-gen. Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. This game has JUST got its official name after it was called Project IM. I have been following this game from day one on the first day when they released the teaser for it.

Good work manager. You're on a roll....

Looks brilliant. The graphics and Animation are almost movie like. Halo has a hell of a lot to compete with this gen.

Wait a minute. This is pre rendered. doh!

I'm not too concerned about that, the faces look a little Wallace and Grommit to me. But overall, the game looks fantastic. I'm just wondering if this was pre-rendered or not, it looks that good.

Animation is basically the last thing they fix in the early state of a game.

Not to burst people's bubbles, but you do realize that the trailer is pre-rendered, as explicitly said in the beginning in big bold words, right?

pre rendered using game content and real-time restrictions...i think that means its rendered using ingame engine and stuff but scripted. In other words its not running on realtime hardware its been prerendered on a pc using the engine.

I have to admit that is the only thing that I am worried about IM. The character models reminds me alot of Doom3, Quake 4 and PDZ. Its all "doll" like. But if you stop focusing on that type of thing and look at the animation, surrounding and the so called "fun part" it looks like Phatheon says, fantastic!

Multiplatform is a direct result of costy development. Everything will most likely trickle out on every platform of economic viability eventually, especially things that start their life on the 360 as the PS3 will inevitably be the more popular platform.

I see this multiplatform craze as a problem too, and I think it'll especially amount to much teeth grinding from MS in the long run, because none of the really significant first party titles seem to stick on their consoles. Sure enough, Generic Space Shooter X might, just because it's developed on a similar platform (PC), but in the end I don't think people will care.

MS even showed some interest in strong first party titles with their own sports lineup for the Xbox, but dropped it like a hot potato once EA were on board. Now we're playing the same titles whether we've got PS2's or Xboxes. Top Spin gained popularity not only because it was a good tennis title, it also had the sense of "belonging" to Xbox owners.

Looking back at a lot of the classic consoles you can see similar trends there. Some games, regardless of developer, belong to a certain platform. The fans of that platform identify with it, and they share that bond several years later when they meet and realise they were both Saturn owners, and of course they played that SIGNIFICANT title for only their console. Guardian Heroes and Dragon Force weren't put on Saturn only because of exclusivity deals, either. Another depressing fact of today's industry.

With games like this one there is no intention whatsoever to find a "home" for the game. There's no intention of making a certain gamepad "THE" pad to play the game with, and no one audience for which this is "their" game. Yeah, that's stuff I think about - stuff I find saddening.

When I say all that people often go "But, but but but, you like Splinter Cell! Doesn't that make you a nutty self-contradicting penis?" But it's like... Who in their right mind didn't play Splinter Cell on Xbox?

This is all assumption of course, but given that they're saying it's pre-rendered, I can only assume it's not using an in game engine. Developers will go out of their way to say when it's rendered in game, not the other way around. Unless they want to make it clear that this is not in game footage, so they don't get backlash when in-game shots get released (killzone 3?)

My guess based on their press release is that this is just a design concept, maybe with some prototype art or models. If you look at the press release it says they 'intend to use the unreal 3 engine'. Maybe they have a proprietary engine running some rudimentary stuff but still need to score a final engine for it to run.

It sounds like a cool concept and I hope it can live up to what they want to achieve conceptually. At this point though until gameplay is shown I can only assume it's some models with choreography and audio overlaid.
