I've been jones'ing for some more Prototype.
I hope it has more story missions this time around.
But yeah, that Penny Arcade comic was the one thing to convince me to buy the game at full price. Loved the hell out of the movement and powers, but yeah could've used more enemy variety, and cheap Hunters rushing. And a more engaging open world.
who is actually going to BUY this with so many other awesome games out this year?
It's one of the few games I'm looking forward to, alongside RF: Armageddon, Deus Ex, Duke Nukem, and something else I'm sure.
The ball was dropped with the PC version of Bulletstorm, so I have a few extra pennies to spare.
Let's just hope for more story and mission variety, then It will be prefect.

Also good sidequest that involve doing what the main character can do not some stupid stuff like drive a tank....the hell was that?
Other than that it could be great!!
Couldn't gold all of them, but I decided I didn't care because they were pretty lame, and there are better ways to gain experience :)
But the best is obviously the bullseye and parkour chase sidequests. Goddamn, did I rage so much but felt so good to get Platinum medals on them!
Next to those, probably the "Kill" events (or whatever they were called), where you use your active powers to take down either the infected or the military.
The other consume events, where you traverse the city looking for each consecutive military guy, or the group of scientists, were too easy.
They must have done some intense focus groups to find that spot because any more than that and my brain probably would have exploded.
And the difficulty of those damn helicopters, my god those were nasty LOL.
I loved Prototype because Alex Mercer was a complete badass.
The way he ran super fast and everytime he ran his feet would make the ground or walls leave a crack, or the super jumps or long hovering, really awesome.
I also liked how you could lock on to enemies, I used it alot on the choppers and I started running fast and doing acrobatic flips and such while dodging missiles and stuff.
I hope they add better and cooler powers this time around.
Hopefully they will make it much more fun and last longer, creating chaos within seconds was boring IMO when the powers werent that fun to use.
Also...why the hell arent we playing as Alex Mercer damn it, this is bullshit, I want to play as Alex Mercer.
You just needed to throw stuff at them and they would go down.
After the whip grab thing it was easy to pull a Skyjack and take the other helicopters down with nary a fight - lockon > hold machine gun fire.
Actually, you don't even need the whip grab thing. Just do a flying kick toward them.
The hard part was doing all that and getting back to the base during a consume event.
But yeah, from this video it does look like at least one new power has emerged.
Hopefully it replaces that somewhat useless Musclemass power (never used that more than twice).
I wonder if playing as the new guy will pit our new powers against the old powers of Mercer!
That could be interesting.
But I am definitely keeping my eye on it, another "superhero/power character" game along with inFamous 2!
That's a lot more interesting than some huge boss with a large life bar where you're always kiting for a battle of attrition rather than skill. That's what Elizabeth felt to me.

Devastator move - run away - kill Hunters for more juice - another Devastator move - run away - etc...
The final boss was much better.
