sorry but the previous titles far from sucked, the first is way above average and the second (aside from the rooney reskin) is vastly better.

To say it sucks is just over the top.

If you like to charge your battery character sure, Cole is a JOKE of a character man plain simple.
What power like character will go and charge himself every few seconds by using his powers.

Its like saying Magneto needs to inject iron of some sort in his body so he can use his powers, its bullshit sorry.
I hate being limited in games, especially when a character has powers like that.

The first game was pretty over-rated. It was janky, ugly as sin, ran pretty poorly, and had some really major control issues. The story was almost entirely bad except for a few neat tricks, and the characters were even worse. The good/bad dichotomy was about as shallow and poorly executed as I can every remember. The powers were horribly balanced (good powers were really useless and underpowered, especially on the hardest difficulty).
It was a cool concept with some good ideas, but the execution was pretty well ignored by most people. If they had streamlined the controls in a logical way instead of just trying to be different and not making full use of the controls (there were buttons that were mostly unused, while essential, reaction skills were hidden behind like 4 input commands), done something more interesting with the ethical dilemma stuff, and had fewer obnoxious characters, I'd maybe agree with you. But I think people liked that game because of the ideas more than the actual quality of the game.

no, i loved the game becasue it was awesome. it was fun, traversal was exciting, combat was great. characters where cool. the moral choices where basic, but they are in most comic books, it's usually very black and white, the whitest of white super hero's like superman, and the beyond redemption villains of joker. the black and white choices where fitting. it never pretended to offer real, hard, shades of grey choices (although frankly, even the games that apparently offer better, more "grey" choices, like mass effect, are all smoke and mirrors anyway) i loved the series, one of the few open world games i still enjoy. first one potentially moreso then the sequel. i'm excited as hell for this one.

Dont forget that the game is basically a shooter with instead of guns and grenades, its electricity lol
It was a chore to constantly keep aiming and "zapping" enemies, felt like a shooter than a action adventure game (should have had lock on and play like Prototype).
It was also extremely boring to move around in the world since most enemies are constantly on the roofs with auto aim so strong that forced you to climb in a weird clunky way until you are up there to take them out.
On top of that, Cole was a damn superglue...he constantly lands and grabs on the smallest things that makes no sense that you have no control over that makes you keep dropping down. And controls are so bad that Cole is like a magnet, forces your directional path turn around to grab something even though are far enough to avoid it.

Infamous 2 had a bit better stuff, like better run animation and the ice launch to travel longer...but his electricity powers sucked, not only that but nerfed compared to Infamous one which is horrible on its own.
In Infamous 1 when you use the regular "aim and shoot" your energy doesnt drain at all but in Infamous 2 it does.

Overrated joke of a character, i am just hoping this new guy has unlimited power that is awesome, just like they showed in the trailer.
Teleporting all over the place, using the chain as Ghost Rider with flame effects...etc. those are awesome.

This one i am only excited if this new guy is the main character we will play as, if its Cole again (which I doubt) i will avoid it at all cost.

The first infamous was fun to play, controlled well, but fell into the same trappings as assassins creed...too many fetch quests, not nearly enough variety. You saw pretty much all the game had to offer after the first couple of hours.

Infamous 2 built on the first alot, looked beautiful..flowing animation, and added an excellent player content option to share missions and be abit more imaginative than the constraints of suckerpunch.

With this one i'd like it obviously to look like the teaser trailer, but i'd also like to see AI vastly improved, an online co-op element (maybe the title hints at that?), and choices that drastically change the world you're in rather than just his sun tan

Why are you guys assuming he is Cole's literal son? There was shown to be thousands of conduits at the end of infamous 2. And that's why there is so much heightened security etc. etc.

Sony claims imagination is the only limitation. In that case maybe we better focus on improving that because all these games look the same to me.

First game was great, a really good IP with great potential. Its not that the powers have to be limiting, ever think it might break the game? This is game making 101. Give people limitless power and it becomes boring, add tension and actual difficulty then it adds more to the experience.

The boss in infamous had way better powers i wanted, one of them being zigzag in lightning form, did we get it? no...because they always give such things to bosses or even simple enemies and not players, so i hate shit like that.

Yes he was limited, there are other ways to limit, but when it comes to powers he was limited and utterly boring compared to other characters i have seen with the exact same power that destroys the crap out of Cole McBattery.

Infamous 1 was terrible. I don't see how anyone could argue that. Every enemy had sniper like accuracy with every weapon. Outside of the shield and the thunder there was little imagination with the powers in the first one. The second one is much better in that regard.

The storm was great in Infamous 2.

I dont get this though, the guy is a battery, he is a electricity powered guy...NOT lightning, he is no god or or anything like Thor or the typical anime character or even use a magic spell.
So how can he pull off that "lightning strike" from the sky, it makes no sense.

You would think if someone could make something like that wouldnt need to have his hand up constantly like a kid in school to get attention from a teacher in class to use his powers lol

I'd rather it remain smaller and more densely packed. But considering this guy seems to be able to teleport, scale might not matter.

I really hope it's co-op.

Sorry for not being close minded when it comes to characters with powers and abilites. I seen far superior usage of lightning based characters than Cole McBattery so that suffers in the game for me makes it no fun at all.
