It does look nice, but i find it to be a very crisp looking game anyway. I can't imagine super sampling would benefit this much at all, and i can't see them boosting the graphics much either. A solid framerate would be nice though, even if it just locked it at 30.

I read this was one of the shoddiest examples of the pro though. Their reconstruction method was shit and it even ran worse then the regular PS4 version. Lol.

I thought too but the wording in the press release doesn't really suggest this. The Nov. 10th release date is mentioned twice.
The game will be available on November 10 with the new console from Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE).
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be available for PS4 Pro on November 10 2016.
Could just be bad wording though.

Clearly upscaled and it shows. Get used to it since the PS4 Pro can't do true 4K.

It looks really bad the aliasing in those white lighted alphabets. Is that how the game looks on PS4, Xbone also ? I hope they concentrate on 1080P mode. 1.8 to 4.2TF can easily handle better aa, af, with more detail and stable fps. Common sense needs to prevail.

And there we go...console players will end up like PC players, who just don't have shitloads of money to buy a new hardware every half of the year......I'm not really a big fan of this direction. Oh cool game....but I have only PS version 3.54 Neo Extra and it needs PS version 3.58 New Extra Ultra. Fuck it...I don't need 4K. *alert-exaggerated comment*

That necessarily won't happen but I feel like eventually devs will stop caring about ps4 base model and instead of making the game run well on it, just whack all options on Low and send it out. Making base ps4 more inferior than it needs to be.

Myself I am primary a PC gamer and think it’s the best platform having said that keep in mind the PS4 Pro will have a Ultra PC like mode if you pick a 1080p resolution.

It’s not mandatory or enforced by Sony but it’s highly encouraged that devs have a juiced up 1080p mode that is like an Ultra like PC setting. Apparently most devs will be including this mode if their game is new or released this year. So in your games logic you will check if the screen is running at 1080p and switch to this profile in your games code.

The Witness has announced that they are already working on a Ultra 1080p mode http://the-witness.net/news/ for the PS4 Pro and as well Ubisoft’s For Honor(they demoed it during the show, had more grass and folidge) also they just announced Watch Dogs 2, Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Steep are enhanced I am not certain what the 1080p mode details are though.

I think that is pretty rad for I don’t have a 4K 60hz screen yet just a cheap one that does 30hz just to test my game dev on for 4K. So like yourself I only care about 1080p atm even though I think 4K owns(don’t have money for new screens).

We will see hey, I think it will be awesome and am looking forward to my PS4 Pro.

Not very pretty, but some of that may be do with the hideous sharpening filter that this game uses.

tbh some games are that already. you will always get devs who are over ambitious or not focused on optimization and release a game that looks and runs like shit. and that's true whether there is a "pro" model of console for them to make games or not.

my main issue is that games will never really take advantage of the extra power. that feeling everyone had when games were being held back on PS4 because they also had a PS3 version will be felt throughout the entire consoles lifespan. it's basically "cross-gen: the console"

MS have an opportunity to swoop in here and remove the requirement to support the xbone so devs can make scorpio only versions that look amazing.

Yeah im sure that screeenshot will look much better on the pro at 1080p with better AA applied.

Weird that Sony are pushing the 4k so much as 1080p will be like going from Medium settings on PC to Ultra now while it will still be at medium settings at 4k.

Pre ordered mine to be a ultra 1080p machine.

Not every game is going to run well on PS4P, it depends on the engine, don't blame the hardware only.

The game itself doesn't look very good on my PC. It has a horrific sharpening filter which I'm sure you can't disable on consoles, but in terms of graphics themselves it looks very unimpressive compared to the other titles shown.

I am sure it is more capable of gtx970 which is 3.5TF. PS4Pro gpu can do 4.2TF and total power consumption is 310W which is a lot.

I guess they will release a list of older games compatible. Not sure why they chose Shadow of mordor as one of the games. I think AC games rather needs a patch and hopefully never games will get 1080P mode treatment.

First thing I turned off was Sharpening. It might make everything a tad mushy due to the cheap TAA they put in there, but at least it doesn't make your eyes hurt. MSAA is just to heavy on my hardware, running a 1070.

I'm getting the Pro for that (hopefully) smoother 1080p gaming. Some well made games look great on PS4, but the Pro will provide extra headroom. I hope it'll all work out as supposed to.
