Well it's about time Microsoft started doing some TV ads for Lost Odyssey, but at least it's a nice one. Still, I'm starting to wonder if MS really believe in this game or not...
Of course needless to say we'll have tons of videos of that game in the next few days, starting wednesday if everything goes as planned.

This game looks fabulous. I hope it's technically as good as it can be... god forbid they've rushed this to the christmas market in a market that doesnt give a damn. If the USA version ends up being buggy and technically flawed due to rushing to JP market then everybody should be mad. The second year of next gen is ending, big-name games should be as polished as they can esp Microsoft published ones (deep pockets, infinite technical knowledge).
Sakaguchi said months ago what date it would be released on, so I'm guessing he knew when it would be finished.
Gfx are alright, not spectacular in my opinion, but alright. Probably won't be picking this one up in the release though...maybe i'll get it used later if there is a lack of good games over the summer or something like that.
sakaguchi included short story sequences into that estimate, so it really has around 12 or so hours of 'cutscenes'
I really like the graphics. I admit there are times where I get a bit graphics whore and think hey this could look better, but then I take a step back and remember I still play the old ff games for gods sake and I have no issues with the graphics in those titles so I should have none with lost odyssey.
I just want to see great use of the fixed camera. I really do want to see some fantastic angles. I want a great story with some characters I can take a liking to. I also want my fair share of really cool moments where I'm shocked at what I just saw so I can "wow that was badass" All this stuff and great music and and really nice art direction (especially in regards to the environments) and I'll be happy.
I'm looking forward to seeing plenty of really cool magic and physical attacks so they better deliver there! I've already seen some pretty impressive stuff I just wanna see even more. Oh and those cool scenes like in the opening where Kaim runs up and stabs that steel object.
I hope they've managed to nicely wrap their head around the UE3 engine. I really like a lot of what I have seen thus far. Mistwalker's major rpg projects after Cry On will really be something else hopefully Microsoft is serious about continuing to work with them.
(Yay! Bought my Ps3 yesterday! It's SOOO cool!!!! )
I can't wait until jan/feb.
Some of the Armor Shaders in this game are very nice indeed.
