Images PS3

We managed to find four new images of Gran Turismo 5 so here they are. We obviously wouldn't mind if Polyphony Digital decided to be clear about a release date or if they showed some in-game footage with new tracks but well...

I'm not into driving games in general but these do look pretty impressive. Don't understand where you get that the cars are floating though Redneck?

Theres the feeling that the cars maybe floating because the shadows casted by the cars arn't very strong.

Will need to buy a wheel for this game.

You can recognize a gap between the wheel and the shadow in pic 1 (the 2 left wheels, our POV), although it is surely not off the road. You can also see it in pic 4.

I know, one has to be a nitpicky bastard to see that. Sorry for mentioning :P

could be that the road is uneven and causing the tyre/wheel to lift from the ground?

nice screens indeed.

I usually spend very little time with photomode in racers, but if they actually look this good on my TV then I might have to start playing around with this mode.

Anyhow, until we see some proper gameplay and get a release date, this photo mode stuff just feels like a kick in the nuts.

Suspension on a bumpy road? Turning a corner and the car is listing to one side a little?

Well, Every game has issues with those things, it's truly hard to make 1 object fit in another object, in this case the cars in the tracks. You can see me example clearly in many hand held objects from Action adventures Games, they looks like if they were carried in the air OR they eat Character model... also some objects can tremble when attempting.

yawn. I wish they would start showing gameplay footage..or even gameplay pics. T10 did the same with Forza 3..a never ending streme of photo mode shots that looked faultless.

As always amazing cars. There also some interior pics they have released and that also looks great.

This is I think best gameplay video taken from cam obviously Nissan GTR @ the Nordschleife:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwLtnur5F84

AI seems stupid they have to fix that ! Although the guy should not have turned the car to block while AI was going some 150km/hr. Rest looks really good. It is not easy to go fast in the ring ... I knew he was going to be last before the video got over. He was lucky not to spin before lol

Well yes it looks great, but there are some SERIOUS issues with those hand-animations. Well now I understand why T10 did not implement gearing animations in the first place...

I really admire PDs commitment in this game, but I guess they just wanted too much this time. I mean getting rid off even this minor issue for each car takes them ages I guess. I cant imagine what other problems occured during developement that made them delay the game since forever...

The new Duke Nukem Forever?

I would laugh if Forza 4 came out before this.

Looks equisite but give PS3 owners a break and tell them when its coming out!

yeah that footage is alot more entertaining that these pics. It looks nice and fast too.. and i'm liking the visual "shuddering" when going over bumps, and the constant hand animations throughout-though there seems to be some clipping issues with the hand going through the wheel.

I'm not knocking Sony or the PS3, I'm just commenting about how this was being shown around when forza 2 was new and now forza 3 is out!

I feel bad that people on any console can be told that a release date is still unconfirmed/undecided so many times.

Every god damned racing game out there has this 'problem', I got over it 10 years ago, we all should. It's a visual thing, even PC simulators have it.

GT on PSP has taught me that Photomode does not improve the game very much. The bleedin thing pretty much runs as good as the screens minus a few anti-aliasing and lighting spots here and there.
