Face wise, i agree, but then capcom had an even worse looking jill in resi 5, i mean, she was blonde for christs sake. At least here they've got the resi 3 look going on. More recognisable.
ye why they changed Jill's face... They more or less kept to same face for few games, then changed it to completely different one... She doesn't looks bad (love makeup) but it's just... Not really a Jill... And Clair is just ugly. Clair was perfect in Code Veronica, why not keep this appearance?

From what I've read Capcom didn't want to pay Julia Voth anymore to use her likeness. So they had to make Jill look as little like Julia as possible. It's pretty distracting for fans that have seen Jill look this way since the Gamecube remake.
However, I'm thrilled that Jill, Claire and Ada are in this game. My interest in the game just increased quite a bit. And it's funny that they had to make Ada a villain since they apparently ran out of ideas for the villain team.
the aiming looks like it could use some work as most of the over the shoulder camera angles shown in this video are of the characters missing 80% of their shots. looks like it will get frustrating. even the sniper scope scene the guy shot the dudes arm as if he could barely get an accurate shot in. game just looks too fast pace to aim over the shoulder like that.

Resi 5 Jill is the REAL Jill, it doesn't matter if she's blonde. I'm not the drama queen like some people, her face there is exactly the same as in REmake. But this Jill doesn't even look like Jill from Revelations. Now Revelations Jill looks only a tiny bit different than she supposed to, shich isn't really a problem. Why could't they keep her look consistent?

Interesting discussion about the character Jill Valentine. I have always felt that they redesign her in every new game she is in so for me she hardly has a consistent look. I can understand that they wanted to redesign the characters when they could make more advanced graphics, like they did with Leon S Kennedy from RE2 to RE4. Jill however seems to get redesigned all the time.
And yeah, I prefer the design Jill have in the older games, I have always seen her as a bit of a resourceful tech specialist. Which I believe was her background in RE1.

I prefer her STARS look in RE1. I liked the more casual outfit in RE3. But I hated the changed in RE5, she was completely unrecognisable, could have been a completely different character. At least here, despite the facial changes, she looks recognisable as jill. I would have prefared the RE1 outfit, but seeing as this takes place between 2 and 3. This look makes sense. No issues with it imo.
Now, the game itself, socom with zombies....i dunno if that's gonna turn out so great. Hopefully we'll get a demo.
