Trailer PC PS4 Xbox One

Unexpectedly, Bethesda Softworks has officially announced RAGE 2 with a live action teaser hinting at a more punk and colorful world than the first game. Unless they are simply going nuts towards Walmart CA and showing it publicly. The first gameplay trailer will be revealed tomorrow.

A new Rage game is very welcomed, if somewhat unexpected. Though I remember Pete Hines saying a few years back that a new Rage game wasn't out of the question. So it wasn't a complete surprise seeing its leaks and subsequently official announcement.

Rage had many great ideas that just weren't properly flashed out in the game because of being the first game developed for the id Tech 5 engine, which itself wasn't a easy thing to develop and took many years, as well as being very ambitious at first, but having to have many parts cut in order to release it after many years in development and constant delays.

Hopefully they don't change the art style too much as that was one of Rage's strengths, make it true open world and evolve the combat's gadgets and vehicle combat as they were quite fun to play, while remaining true to the identity of the first game. Looking forward to the gameplay reveal tomorrow.

As a side note, if that Walmart leaks bonanza is true - which seems to be, Just Cause 4, Borderlands 3, Gears of War 5, Forza Horizons 5 (Forza Horizon 4, most likely), a new Assassin's Creed, and a new Splinter Cell are going to be revealed at E3 2018 - maybe with a 2018 or early 2019 release dates.

Damn, was really hoping for an Elder Scrolls VI reveal with a release at the end of this year. This, like all Bethesda games outside of TES and Wolfenstein this gen, doesn't interest me whatsoever.

Wow now that was bad, the music was god awful and the visuals look like some pride parade set in mad max world :/ I really hope only the marketing team sucks and that the actuall game looks much better.

Post apocalyptic gay pride parade the videogame.

All that was missing was a couple of Pennywise clowns and a few balloons. They should have just shown gameplay. Bethesda/id really are living off the ghosts of their former glory.

Oh what a mess of a teaser. Don't even bother showing this on E3 or anywhere, sorry.
On the positive side - Avalanche Studios behind this could be a good fit I guess.

Bethesda Game Studios is working on Starfield - a Sci-fi RPG - and another AAA project at the moment, not The Elder Scrolls 6. Back at E3 2016, Todd Howard said to not expect The Elder Scrolls 6 for a very long time because they have a lot of ambition and want better technology to realize everything they envision for the game.

Kotaku - Todd Howard Says Elder Scrolls VI Is 'A Very Long Way Off':
https://kotaku.com/todd-howard-says-elder-scrolls-...

Additionally, at QuakeCon 2017, Pete Hines said that The Elder Scrolls 6 is 3rd on the list of priorities at Bethesda Game Studios, meaning it will only be released after those 2 AAA games are finished. That's almost certainly PlayStation 5 and Xbox 4/Two generation of consoles - might even be some years into them.

PCGamesN - Even Todd Howard’s kids don’t know when Elder Scrolls 6 is coming:

100% agree with you, this looks like more LGBT ad than a teaser trailer for a game.

It's really awkward when people use Pride Parades as a means to shit on a game.

You're a fucking asshole dude.

If I were a mod here you'd both be banned.

There's nothing wrong with being gay or pride parades... except it makes no sense to cross them with Mad Max / RAGE. This does look more like an LGBT ad than it does a post apocalyptic shooter and IMO the two things don't mesh well together.

And what is it with wanting people banned all the time? If you're too sensitive for some comments you have no business being on the internet. And since I already know where this is going, no, what he said isn't "hate speech", get off your high horse.

i think they're trying to do the mad max fury road thing with the coloured dust. post apocalyptic + colour

but they've ended up looking more like suicide squad

I agree and it doesn't work because the tone is off.

While MMFR uses a heavy orange/reddish tint with darker tones, here they went for pink neon coloring together with bright yellow.

Also, while actors and extras in MMFR went for dreary and miserable and/or agressive and unhinged, the actors in this trailer all act and emote like they are in a Katy Perry video, their facial expressions are particularly off.

Finally, the music in the trailer is straight MTV trash.

Not sure why it's even necessary to drag the LGBT topic into this, it's just some people with unconventional styling and attitude, but the teaser trailer simply fails as a GAME teaser. I generally don't care much about real-life elements, however flashy and cool they might be, I want to see the GAME, because... well, no need to explain, except maybe to some Bethesda marketing dudes trying to blow some surplus money into something that has little to do with the product the real team is working on.

The thing I don't get is that no one seems to like these "trailer without game elements teasing the actual trailer coming later" which companies like to do.
Surely there's more to this, right? Their metrics must indicate more engagement from people and trending on social media, otherwise it's just a waste of everyone's time and their marketing budget.
