As announced by Rockstar Games yesterday, here is the first trailer of Red Dead Redemption 2. The game is scheduled to launch during Fall 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Update: high quality 35Mbps version added.
Maybe it's time to finally play through the first ? I have like 10-15 factory sealed 360 games that i bought just cause they were cheap but never touched them... lol

No better time than now. RDR1 is an excellent game and deserves to be played by anyone. Also, better do it now before people spoil it for you, as is bound to happen the closer we get to RDR2's launch.

RDR1 is by far the best 360 game I played so yes open that sucker now and play it through!
it looks sick, PlayStation announced a partnership already with R* on this one. The deal is on digital content for the Online component on the PS4/Pro only. cheers for the trailer.
This trailer both excites me and angers me! They gave us almost nothing. We don't know if sp and mp are separate, they didn't show anything about the characters/story, we don't know about new features and now we have to wait for so long to get some answers . I hate and love rockstar at the same time! The graphics are gorgeous though!
Please please please also a PC version.. I loved RDR on the Xbox 360, but I haven't owned a console for years now and do not plan to get one any time soon either, so a PC version as well please Rockstar..
Rockstar is one of the few publishers I still respect a lot as a PC gamer.. Their DLC-policy in GTA-V is spot on, making money with Sharkcards and no online community splitting with DLC.. Not the crap EA and Activision etc pull on us with their premium DLC, early access and season pass bullshit..
Even released later, I do not care, make a PC version please.. I (and many others) will buy it instantly and support it..
PlayStation announced partnership with rockstar for online stuff. I guess that pretty much confirms that even if Agent is still happening it won't be a ps exclusive. Also considerin console architecture is much more similar to pc now than last gen i would be really surprised if a pc version doesn't happen. Red dead redemption was coded so weirdly just for consoles that a pc version would be such a pain in the ass to port. One thing im really curious is if they are still using euphoria for physics since it got bought out by zynga a while back
I realize it's got brand power, but people seem to forget how shallow and boring the first iteration of this game was. It got so much hype based on brand alone too.
They need to show me a lot more to convince me it's not more of the same.
I am hopeful after what they've done on GTA, but I can't help but feel there's not the same effort in this franchise so far

Hype on the brand alone? Red Dead Redemption built the brand. No one cares about the Capcom game.
It has a lot of fans. It has a metacritic review score of 95. It's just a popular game.
People don't remember that because they liked the game.

I thought it was a really shallow boring game. I'm surprised it got reviewed so highly.
The "game" was a relatively empty sandbox with a terrible story. You couldn't do a whole lot of anything
