But yeah, if you expect capcom to actually do work for their money, then think again. We don't have 2394820934 versions of Street Fighter 2 on SNES alone for no reason.

I'm pretty sure that's where I played RE4

The difference with P.C. games is we've had HD(high resolution) for donkeys years you just alter it in your settings.. A HD remake For a P.C. Would be high definition, as in half decent textures and models. Clearly Capcom, like yourself have forgotten this.

Again, nobody has ever called this a remake. It's a re-relese in HD. That's it. You seem to have different expectations, but i seriously don't see how the game is to blame for that. Stop talking like you take the whole bloody "pc master race" joke seriously. I've got a computer that you could call high end without exaggerating too much, doesn't stop me from playing older games, retro games or indy titles that don't push my GPU to the breaking point. That's fine though, for 20 bucks i don't expect a company to remake their old games to look like a modern AAA title.
Not that i think particularly highly of Crapcom and their business practices in general, though this seems like a release i could get on board with. Also i don't really think emulating the game on Dolphin, as Cloud pointed out, is the same thing as...you know, actually buying the game.
At the same time, i'm sure the license for the game prohibits emulation of it anyway, so in the end i imagine it's still legally dubious to run any kind of official software on Dolphin.
Not that this is a point worth discussing anyway, since the actual argument was "waaah, it's not a full blown remake!" vs sensible expectations.

It would be nice if it had more bells and whistles to be called "HD", but since it's such a great game and I don't feel like busting out my Gamecube (didn't like the Playstation version), I'll probably grab this one.
at the time it was an amazing and refreshing change for the series that worked perfectly until resident evil 5 came out, then it became clear that this shit isn't going to be scary anymore.
