Resident Evil 5 has been released today in Japan, and of course DjMizuhara uploaded some videos of the game (PS3 version) already. He always tells us that he didn't like the demo at all, but actually enjoys the full game quite a bit.
Update: Second video is up, with more to come tomorrow!

Commented on 2009-03-05 17:31:11Now I've noticed that this is from the PS3 version, so whether this is not a very good capture or there are indeed quite noticeable differences between both versions.

Only interested in the single player on this game, I get the feeling Sheva is guna be more of a hinderence than a help.

Commented on 2009-03-05 19:48:55 In reply to me7As you have said, the opacity and overall dullness in this video (PS3 version) is probably due to video compression. If not, expect quite a fuzz on the internet about the graphical differences between both consoles.
This one to my eye, looks better than MGS4 and Gears of War 2 (Not all the time but it has stellar scenes) I don't mention KZ2 because while RE5 looks miles better in terms of texturing, it doesn't have as much stuff going on as KZ2, at least not in the first level. It'd say however, that the version I've seen (Xbox 360) is up there with KZ2 as the best looking games of the generation so far.

Commented on 2009-03-05 21:02:47It's the reason I've pre-ordered the 360 version, although I may pick up the PC version too as I expect that will be the best version of all if Lost Planet and Devil May Cry 4 are anything to go by. Both those games run terrific on my PC at resolutions and with high AA that the consoles can only dream about.
