I really want to like this but it plays like a first person shooter and it's just not appealing to me for some reason but it looks good graphically that's for sure.

I know it's not exactly a first person shooter but man I HATE playing in first person. I just like seeing the character I'm playing with on screen. it's part of the reason I like Gears of War SO MUCH!

I love pretty much anything to do with RE, bring it on. And complaining about games like this isn't really helping this topic, it's a rail shooter, deal with it. Capcom know what they're doing and this game will be good.

It looks good but I'm not buying a Wii to play it. Last time I bought a Nintendo product just for an RE game it was ported less than a year later. I'm not ruling out that possibility again.

LOL well considering the other on rail shooter RE games have sold terribly i don't think you can say Capcom know what they are doing.

Actually, there haven't been any other on rail RE shooters. The playstation games all employed some sort of pseudo FPS style that Namco is implementing in Time Crisis 4 (which looks similarly awful in that mode) where you actually walk around on the D-pad. Horrible.

This is sort of House of The Dead mixed with Panzer Dragoon. You're on rails but you can look around freely, and you have grenades and a knife for long distance/short distance combat. Also, you aren't just a floaty probe like you seem to be in a lot of light gun games, it's much more physical and cinematic with chases, races and RE4 style encounters.

I've been thinking a bit about the future of RE on Wii. RE4 is fantastic on there, that goes without saying, but watering down RE5 to fit on it seems like a disservice to both styles of formats. I mean if it CAN be done even though it's visually toned down, they can't really be taking proper advantage of the PS3 and 360 in terms of enemy numbers, vastness of areas, that sort of thing.

But then RE4 is so obviously a great fit for the Wii, and no doubt a big seller for Capcom, so there should technically show up more RE on there. This is of course cool, a brand new entry heading in a different direction with its story content and such, and I think it would be nice if they could make some kind of spinoff series, much like Crystal Chronicles is to Final Fantasy. One that is based on the RE4 control system but expanded, with gameplay tailored to the interface.

Get sort of an underdog character on there.. like.. um.. Well nobody gave a crap about that whiny dual gun weilding... er.. "Steve" was it? Okay so maybe it's not a good idea to have Steve as a main character.

But still, uh, Billy? One that you don't neccessarily desperately want to see in the *main series* of games. Stick him/her in there and create a Wii specific RE franchise. That would rock.

I knew the Wii could do more with graphics. Once again Capcom is the only developer willing to put some work into their visuals on a Nintendo console.

My two favorite arcade games are The House of The Dead and Police 911, so sign me up! Graphics look good for this type of game too. Thanks for the scans.
