As a change from the numerous Project Gotham Racing 3 videos I've put online in the last few days, here is this very nice gameplay video of Ridge Racer 6, from the TGS build. This video is a tad better quality than the one I did in Tokyo, but of course does not show anything new.
[UPDATE]: Low quality video added

Commented on 2005-10-29 21:20:19It looks like it plays very much like the PSP RR, which is a good thing. Looks fantastic, definitly gonna be picking this up.

Commented on 2005-10-29 22:56:33They're surprisingly rewarding to play once you get into them though, they unsurprisingly feel nothing like driving a car, or even pretending like you're driving a car, but they have their own sense of accomplishment and reward and just.. a sense of freedom and chill-ness. It's true that not everybody likes them though for sure, but if you just let yourself go and disregard of the fact that they're cars, you might just find it lovely to play. You can't go into them as a "racing game" fan though, because they don't even bother getting the friction one tenth right. That's just not what they're about. :)

Commented on 2005-10-30 06:23:05heh, i have some friends that always go on about games like these sucking since they're not realistic, blah blah blah, too bad the fools don't realize that it's a bloody game, and fun is where it counts. anyway, hopefully this game has nice settings/tracks, and won't be too repetitive!

Commented on 2005-10-30 13:40:32I'm not criticising RR and Outrun 2 for this, on the contrary I find it a blast to play them, but I disagree about your sentiment that it has any "real" ties to the feel of drifting even though that's obviously what the mechanic is derived from.
