I want to really like this game but the fact you smash through concrete walls and concrete pillars without slowing you down totally puts me off. Hopefully there is a demo.

yeah even when I try to ignore the Ridge Racer name being squandered its like WTF am I looking at, like they ripped off San Fransisco Rush series, Flatout (which bugbear is) burnout, need forspeed and then like you said the guy smashes a pillar or wall gets a scratch but the game is claiming all "next gen" (really current gen) damage modeling which is just wrong.

lol every where i go people say the same thing, RR unbound is good for the franchise, as much as only a few think the ridge racer franchise should stay the same must be completly oblivious to the poor sales of the past RR games on both the ps3 and xbox, even the portable RR game's sell very poorly, just take a look at RR on the vita its the cheapest game on the vita yet its sales have been very poor due to the fact its pretty much exactly the same game physics wise and game play wise as RR1 on the ps1, there was nothing next gen about past RR titles and namco know's this that's why they have taken this direction.

i cant wait to play this (please dont forget its still an arcade racer not a racing sim so driving through concrete pillars ect wont slow the cars down).

Looks fun. Something a lot of arcade racers have lacked recently, and something ridge racer hasnt had in YEARS. I'm looking forward to this one.

i could'nt agree more, there are hardly any decent or worth while arcade racers, burnout lost part of it's charm when criterion made it open world whle split second or blur helped keep a small part of arcade racers alive they still could'nt quite match the benchmark set by the burnout series (excluding burnout paradise or crash).

Stuff is usually cheaper on Steam, supports a bunch of features, hassle free....Steam is like a console for PC.

Is Steam like Xbox Live or PSN ie: it's a unified system?
