Ubisoft today announced Rocksmith, a new game that lets you plug any guitar into your Xbox 360 or PS3 system. It will come with about 45 songs from different music genres. The game is scheduled for this September.
Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)

I always thought rockband was dumb, you get nothing out of it.

Commented on 2011-03-15 21:10:29But seriously, i could imagine this being a bit of fun but i'm also kind of doubtful as to how well it will be able to pick up individual notes and chords and stuff. And i mean, seriously, what if you are playing with a shit guitar? Some crappy wiring and the game might not work as well as it should?
Wel, again i could see myself giving it a go since i allready have a few guitars and the console but i kind of doubt it's capabilities as a learning tool. At least on it's own :)

But i think it might be a cool tool and i hope we get more stuff like this on PC as a complement to lessons and tutorials. IF it works purely technically that is, as per usual.
Also fail at the announcement trailer. Notice how the guitar makes a little sound when he grabs the neck of the guitar right before plugging it in and it makes a little sound just like it was actually plugged in to an amp? Do they expect to get away with shit like that!? ;)
