On a related note. This article got mentioned/linked on the official Saints Row: The Third Facebook wall. You may be experiencing a traffic boost because of that.

GTAIV didn't impress me that much to be honest (no matter how high sales and ratings have been, i don't care bout that)

Now, let's get our pitchforks and go get this guy.
At the same time, I do expect GTA5 to have a much tighter narrative than GTA4. I really felt the DLC paks, had better narratives than the core game itself. I think that with Niko's story, Rockstar was so busy trying to fit extra-mission activities into the game that were so constrained by fitting in with the real world, that they forgot to make a lot of those activities any fun. So having to do them, really dragged the game down and slowed down the pace of the whole story. And then there was the entire multiple ending thing, which muddied things up further. They either should have stuck with the single ending of Roman getting killed, or added a shitload more content to the main story to give the player a deeper emotional attachment to Kate McCreary. Let's face it, by the end of the game, no one cares if Kate dies, Niko, and by extension, the player, hardly even knows her. So if that is the ending you get the first time through, the impact of the story is wasted. Matter of fact, I think more players would have cared more had Niko found a way to make things work with Michelle/Karen, and she wound up getting killed in the end, than they ever did about Kate. How Rockstar's writers missed that opportunity, is beyond me.
Anyway, the game is still one of my five fav games of the generation, all the same, I expect them to tighten things up quite a bit, and bring their A-game for GTA5. One of the things that Saints Row has traditionally done better than GTA (or any other open world action game for that matter) is in all the extra-mission activities. What's the point of having these huge open worlds, and not much to do in them outside of the missions and running over pedestrians? The sheer amount of Activities and Distractions you can do in Saints Row 2 is simply mind blowing. Long after you have actually beaten the game, there is just still tons of stuff to do if you want. A lot of open world action game developers could stand to learn a thing or two from Volition on the matter. As it stands, the only one's who seem to be listening so far, are Avalanche. So hopefully with GTA5, along with a tighter narrative, there will be a lot of fun stuff to do outside of the the main campaign. The Ballad of Gay Tony was a step in the right direction on both counts, so hopefully Rockstar will expand further upon fixing those faults in the new series.
