How is it possible for this game to have 4 player coop which means 4 players and 4 dragons without the framerate going nuts. The game doesn't even run that well even in sp.I know its pre alpha but still i am very skeptical.

I'd have to ask Kamiya but I fear he'd block me after saying something funny. The game does look gorgeous though and I have to say thank gamersyde "your video quality truly is one of a kind." .

Nice world and dragon design, but nothing else showned is good to me at all, especially the shitty looking character design.
I do like his armor mode design though.

Well, wrap it up! Game is shipping this fall. Fuck, that leaves almost zero time for remaining development, may as well call it Failbound at this point.

The journalists and attendees at Gamescom were shown a behind-closed-doors of the most recent build of Scalebound, and a lot of them reported it to be smoother than the one shown on stage. So, I imagine the smoother one was less stable than the stage demo.

Either way, not that I needed any more convincing that I am buying this game, here is the new IGN video with a few new bits in cased some of you missed it:

Hoo yeah!

Looks nice, but OMG,....these fucking stupid not important damage counts when hitting the enemy. WTF is this? Why are they putting this stupid non-sense in games? We are so stupid, that we need to see some fucking numbers coming out of enemies and if these are not available, at least we have to see some changing crosshair, to know, we are hitting something. Stupid stupid fashion these days. Hate it!!!

@Zat

Damage numbers is there for some RPGs were stats is very important and they want to let you now how much damage you are doing per attack, its highs and low.
So whenever you get a new item and you check the stats and then equip it and do attacks you can see the number of damage you are doing. Some people actually calculate this stuff as if its math, but i just go with whatever high and bonus stuff there is, dont have time to do anything else lol

Sure some games dont do this though like Souls-series and Bloodborne, but most of them do. I am guessing Scalebound is a stats-based action RPG so they show it, even Darksiders 2 had it.

Though some games does allow you to turn it off in gameplay options, so this might be the same.

Too many frame-rate drops, it's way too tiring to play it under such unstable performance, at least for now.

yes. in a "rejected concept" sense. lol.

this game has some of the most jarringly miss-matched art i've ever seen in a game. it's like they just threw up any old shit and called it a day. a dragon that looks like it's from the dragoon series, enemies that look like they're ripped directly from FF12, and a guy who looks like a dante rejected concept for DMC (not even the good devil may cry games) who's wearing jeans and a leather jacket. and the combat looks like pure shit. almost dynasty warriors level simplicity with one of the most far reaching sword swipes i've ever seen. and those animations!!! what are people seeing in this exactly other then "buhhhh, it's Mikami...buhhhh"

show me a good game and i'll get excited. but i don't care who's making this...it looks like shit currently.

it's exclusive and current gen only. if it wasn't technically superior to stuff we'd seen on PS3 and 360 i'd be hella disapointed, lol

I understand it from the point of RPG, but in the past, we played it without these obvious numbers flying around. I think JRPGs brought this to the scene. Option to turn it off would be nice.

I am dissapointed to see the gameplay doesnt seem to be up to Kamiya/Platinum standard. Its neither stylish nor is it perfect as their other combat games. Something is off about it that i cant pin point it.

Even in the past, not all RPGs had it, some RPGs have it. Best i do understand why you hate it, i do it as well. Just look at Diablo 3 and Borderlands games, its insane lol

PlatinumGames most recent titles is legend of korra and transformers, before that was metal gear rising and bayonneta 2. Bayonneta 2 was awesome, metal gear rising was alright, a little obtuse in story. Gameplay was also a little annoying with it's shifting camera. I can already say Scalebound has a better camera system in place over Rising.

Camera isnt the problem, its during the attacks, i dont know why i just dont like how it all turns out. Something is off about it, wish i could be more specific and not sound like i am hating based on just hating it. Its just bad compared to other Platinum games and their standards. And this is Kamiya which makes it even more odd lol

Extremely annoying generic yank with even more annoying Yankeestan accent. And dubstep?? This is why Japanese games are so bad now. They try to westernise themselves, which they're bad at, and nobody wants that to begin with. Game is fail.

Metal Gear Rising's toughest enemy was the camera. That being said, Scalebound's camera seems to be drawn quite far back to compensate for the size of the dragon and the massive fights, I guess we'll have to see if it pays off, but right now my feelings are mixed on it.

Never expected a Platinum Games game to look this stunning. The articles I read during Gamescom sound awesome too, levelling, upgrades, cities with NPCs and so on. Basically a RPG.
