PS3

Now that DOAX2 has finally been released Famitsu can finally start talking a proper game from Team Ninja: Ninja Gaiden Sigma! It's quite interesting to see that their "B team" seems to have a better grasp of the next-gen hardware than the one directed by Itagaki himself...

Nicely difficult game. Nowadays, too many games are too easy.

I'd like to see pics of the big bosses! :-D

Can't wait for this game. Played the original but never got around to Black so this is a welcome addition along with all the extras.

I'm sad to see Xbox fans get their panties in a bunch over this, and even sadder to see Sony fans rejecting it because it's a "filthy Xbox IP" (don't worry, people in the Xbox camp are the same way about DMC and MGS).

I sure hope this gets its due credit on the PS3, because it was and still is an AMAZING game.

I really hope they do Rygar 2 at some point, because that was genuinely good on PS2, albeit somewhat overlooked. Needless to say, graphics like this would make it tough to overlook even for the most casual players.

Someone should tell Itagaki this. Maybe it'll piss him off enough to make him start using next-gen stuff like normal maps, and realtime lighting and shadowing. I'm eager to see how Ninja Gaiden 2 looks, and if it looks worse than NGS, i'll be at the DOA boards where Itagaki actually reads stuff and complain about how his game looks. :p

On a side note, the Xbox version of Murai looks pretty much the same as in these images...

the game looks pretty good, yet DMC4 its a lot more detailed and it runs at 60 fps.

This is a fairly good improvement, graphically. Well it does look great, theres no doubt but I don't see how these scans do any justice. I can def. see improvement in environments (mostly leaves and trees) and some parts of character models. Most of the reflection of items makes me smile =). I've seen the trailer from TGS, That looks so much better. Guess its just my eyes =P (Still not enough to make me buy a PS3 yet ;)) Well I loved the original, this is looking to be promising! but I personally am more interested in DMC4, despite this having stronger graphics hehe.

Cant wait to see the final game.

Knowing Itagaki, NG 2 probably wont look that much better, graphically at least. :p

Wtf, is that like, a joke? Itagaki is known for his graphic achievements dude...

It looks really good, but the characters, it looks like they're just taken out of Ninja Gaiden on Xbox and put in beautiful environments etc.

I dont mean to step on anyone's toes, but Itagaki is also very stuck on the visual style that is DOA. If he approaches NG 2 with that same mentality, then it wont look much better than NG: Black. That's what I meant.

The character models look amazing (notice thus the reason why the camera angles are super zoomed in) but the backgrounds are a blurry mess. I think DMC4 (and Heavenly Sword) while we're at it looks a lot better. And we all know how Team Ninja releases BULLshots that'd make EA proud. Super high-res super smooth no aliasing to be noticed FTW?
