PC Xbox 360 PS2

Phantasy Star Universe is back with these four pages scanned in the latest edition of Famitsu Weekly. As a fan of the good old PSO, I can't wait to play this one.

Looks gorgeous..

Is this out for the xbox360 and xbox?? Didn't they say you can't play PC gamers or ps2 gamers against xbox gamers ?? also..i take it backward compatibility could be taken out???

Looks great..one of the most anticipated games..loved Phantasy star online 1 and 2.. the monthly online rate is putting me off though.. can't they make it free like phantasy star online ?

I was just thinking that Sega had officially finally stolen the chocobo.

This looks good. I hope that, seeing as they're segregating the 360 crowd from the PS2 and PC players, we get it without the monthly...

The game will be out on the Xbox 360, as well as the PS2 and PC, the server issue is not finalised yet so we don't know wether Xbox 360 players will be able to mix with PS2 and PC users.

Even if Xbox 360 players are seperated from the PC and PS2 users, we will have to pay a monthly fee, just like the Xbox version of the Phantasy Star Oline.

DC version wasn't free, and PC version of Blue Burst is P2P....

I have owned all too.
PSOBB was a shameful revival attempt by sega to grab some more cash from people... hopefully they will actually support the north american version of PSU... as they are notorious for screwing us over with lacking support, and very little to squash cheaters/hackers.

Hmm, seems like it is being developed for PC PS2 and XBox 360

But not Xbox or PS3. I wonder why.

Possible Answer:
A. The xbox is losing support in light of the newer 360. B. The PS3 will launch soon and I guess the time of release between this game and that launch date is too close to start and finish devlopment.

Honestly I hope not. The reason I want to get the 360 version is because of Xbox Live and Voice Chat support. Seriously playing PSO on Xbox was like playing a WHOLE new game because of that.

The ORIGINAL version of PSO on dreamcast WAS free. It was PSO Version 2 that you had to pay for a monthly Hunter's Pass or whatever the called it (or some other unit-time, don't recall for sure, never played v2) as well as pretty much all other versions from then on.

You know with the recent news bits I'm wanting to hookup the dreamcast .. PSOv1 (if the servers are still there, were the last time I checked) and TXR1/2 :)

Yeah but your paying for Xbox Live, if you pay for PSU your paying the PSU servers not the Xbox Live service that you are already doing. Remember you will only require a silver account to play PSU online as well as it requires a extra fee.

Also the Xbox 360 version will support voice chat regardless of wether it is mixed with PS2 and PC users or not.

I can't remember paying for the DC version, but that was along time ago, the GameCube version of PSO had a monthly fee.

TeamXbox.com had the first screenshots of the Xbox 360 version a while back, graphically i can't see this game looking any better than the PC version will any settings cranked right up.

Lolz...this whole game looks quite unimpressive. For a next-gen game and this site's scrutiny, the game gets a free pass simply because its a known franchise.

Actually, I'm more inclined to say that it gets a free pass because the original was absolutely fantastic. It ate up a good chunk of my time back in the Dreamcast Era, and if this version is even half as enjoyable I'll be putting some time into this as well.

Better graphics would be nice, but they're definitely a secondary requirement for a PSO title.
