PS3

Complete timeline change for the next episode of the excellent series Ryu ga Gotoku/Yakuza since the third one in now placed during the Edo era, and not in the modern Japan. The game system looks mostly similar to the old ones, not that it's a bad thing!

Wow, that looks really awesome.

Best thing is, even if it never gets brought over, PS3 is still region free...

Oh YES! Now bring on Shenmue 3!!!!!!
What is this game about? It does remind me of shenmue mixed with way of the samurai, I dont know why. If it somewhat like shenmue then it's a buy.

*makes love to that fact*

I was gonna type a post full of WAAAH's and YEEAAH's, but nothing can really put my feelings into words. Let's just say I'm excited about this.

Sad to see Kiryu go though, I loved Kiryu. On the plus side, a self contained story means more likelyhood of an american release, and BR ensures japanese language track + subs. Woo!

UH YEAH... so happy... I really love the first one, never played the second, unfortunately.
This is gonna rock, I love the medieval japan story. But, yeah, kind of sad Kiryu isn't any longer....

Looks great, I prefer this setting to the others though I haven't played them so that may be premature. This is very popular in Japan so should give the PS3 a good boost.

This is AWESOME news. Yakuza is my favorite new franchise from last-generation and this looks to be just as awesome.
Any fan of Shenmue should do themselves a favor and play Yakuza (if you can stomach the violence, sexual themes, profanity, etc.).
Sega has been putting out a lot of crap but they have a true gem with the Yakuza series.

I really would like to DISCOURAGE the notion that Yakuza is like Shenmue, because that'll just set you up for disappointment.

Yakuza is Spikeout with a world map and random battles - and it's awesome! It's just.. it's not like Shenmue at all when you actually play it.

Musashi is supposed to be in this game..the first Yakuza was a rush to play (The hero of the game is the true definition of badass..makes most wanna be tough guys look timid, great game!) i'm waiting for part two on the U.S. PS2, i'm sure by annoucing 3, it will drive up interest in translating the Japanese Version!
