Here come two new screenshots of Frontlines: Fuel of War, the new FPS of Kaos Studios (they are the creators of Battlefield 2's famous mod "Desert Combat", on PC). The game isn't really a graphical showcase of the Unreal Engine 3, but it seems detailed enough, knowing how big and free the maps are supposed to be.

Looks rather good, but it's only 2 images, so I can't tell exactly how good.

Graphics are impressive I'd say.

The modelling and shading on that guys face is aceeeee.

Looks alright, an ingame trailer would show how good the game looks are how bad.

This title is on my watch list. I think it has potential, but information thus far has been very limited. I hope we get some more detailed info soon. I've seen the CG trailer and the premise is interesting. I have yet to hear anything on gameplay or see anything in game besides the two pics released above.

Not bad looking good, I like the fact that like a warzone in real life there is dust and smoke in the enviroment and its not too clean and pristene like BF2's enviroments are.

Desert Combat was for Battlefield 1942 and not for Battlefield 2.

Anyway, game looks pretty good.

Yes, DC was an awesome BF1942 mod. One of the best mods ever. I hope Frank DeLise and crew are able to pull this off!

If i had the same point of view of alot of people posting here i would be right to call this a BF2 clone as was Saints Row to GTA.

looks decent enough but from the pictures i've seen of it before, i wouldnt put my money on this being anything great.

Nowadays when you hear that a game is utilizing the Unreal Engine3, you expect more more from a game's visuals. And with good reasoning. These are good, but they are Halo2 good, And that's a problem when it comes to a next gen machine. I'm not trying to sound like a graphics whore, but isn't the Unreal Engine3 supposed to make graphic art simpler. It's a liscensed engine. Gears os War is the benchmark for the engine. Now I'm spoiled by its visuals. The first shot is impressive, but the second shot looks like a totally different game.

Kaos is a very small studio who will most likely be falling back onto the gameplay. Also remember these sort of games are quite large, so the graphics budget needs to be spread wider.

@ Sheps: Actually, BF2 is a rip of DC! I played DC for like 2 years before BF2 came out, and personally I preferred DC. That said, Kaos (then known as Trauma) actually did a bit of work on BF2.

Think of them as the Time Splitters team that worked on GoldenEye and PD.

lets remember that images can make the game look unjust so until we have an ingame trailer we cant really be certain if the game looks good or not.
