Thing is, if it IS really good then the even more exciting fact is that this is a studio (Sega Racing Studio) devoted to making racing games based on existing Sega IP. Sega Rally was always my favourite, but it's a team assembled of loads of talented people off of places like DICE and Codemasters, potentially tackling things like Crazy Taxi, Daytona USA, Hang On GP, Manx TT, etc etc.
This has me even more nervous about this game, but I'm trying not to get too involved, keeping my fingers crossed that it'll come out of nowhere and kick ass.
Stupid how this guy is all about the surface deformation technology, and the makers of Motorstorm almost didn't talk about that.
Why?! Do?! People?! Have?! To?! Mention?! It?! Every?! Damn?! Time?! a?! Sega?! Rally? Thread?! Comes?! Up?!
This game is going to own, (just so long as people shut the hell up about motorstorm!!!! PS2 game with fancy-ish GXF)
I think they should include the first two Sega Rally games as hidden extras, that would rule!
The is a definate buy for me, I really hope though that they wont restrict cars too the round as in the last vid there were invisible walls.
I was far more impressed with the alpine race course than the jungle course they showed in the last vid. Seriously this looks like its gonna be a kick ass game!
1. It isn't THAT good (yes I have played it) and just made me think that it probably could be ported to PS2 if they gave it some thought, it would just lack the SFX.
2. It doesn't have the pedigree that Sega Rally has, so why mention it under the same breath?
BTW, like the optimus icon. Nice!
:o)
