GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Because agni_rzm asked nicely, here's how we handled Genshiro Ashina in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Now what you don't get to see is the number of tries that were necessary to finally claim victory. Oddly enough though, he was much less of a pain than Seven Ashina Spears, who almost drove us (well me actually) nuts. Enjoy the 4K ass-kicking-without-candy-but--still-two-resurrections lesson!

Genishiro has a lot of openings, if you carefully observe. At first I found it odd, then after that thing happens, I understood why From Software made him be like that. So you can do that without getting hit much or at all.

seeing the openings is one thing but being able to exploit them is another thing entirely. he is just too fast. I could see all the openings to attack the guardian ape for example but that stubborn thing just doesn't give up

Yes, but knowing the openings is half the fight, since then you know what to do, the other half is just execution. That's why that claw enemy at the Fort entrance gave me so much trouble, I couldn't see any openings for a long time. Once you get used to the speed of the combat and some enemies' "turbo" attack speed, then it becomes easy/easier to exploit them.
