Take Skyrim or The Witcher 3 as a comparison and you either have totally still people, or a complete fade-to-black to load the scene, and take your character and the NPCs in the perfect "dialog-approved" spot in the enviroment.
Don't get me wrong, SKyrim and The Witcher 3 are masterpieces. But for some things, games haven't moved forward at all since 2001.
Skyrim andThe Witcher 3areis a masterpiece.Skyrim andThe Witcher 3areis a masterpiece.I still consider it a masterpiece, even if only for the staggering sheer amount of different content it provides. There is always something new to do or to see, which is not easy (not even remotely easy) for an immersive open world of that size.
Non to downplay The Witcher 3's achievements, not at all, but let's not downplay Skyrim achievements too :)
