Shinji Mikami's studio Tango Gameworks has unveiled the codename of their project: Zwei. Resident Evil creator goes back to the survival horror genre with this game in development. Along with the codename, a piece of art showing environments has been released but it's not intended to give any hints at what is in the game. Bethesda Softworks will publish the game but no date, no platforms announced yet.
As a master of the ‘survival horror’ genre, Shinji Mikami is committed to making a game that is the realization of *pure* survival horror, an experience which he defines as one that pushes the limits of fear and exhilaration. He and his team at Tango are committed to attaining this vision.
“A true ‘survival horror’ game is one in which the player confronts and overcomes fear,” says Shinji Mikami, president and creative director for Tango Gameworks. “I've found my focus and once again I'm striving for pure survival horror. I am being very hands-on in the development of this game to ensure that the quality is there. Rest assured.”

Why not "Project Eins" or "Project Drei"

Tits and Gore.
I just hope it's a genuine horror game. Because quite frankly, very few games in the genre actually do produce horror in any way. It's most often just shooting with shite controls. It works in games like Silent Hill, Resident Evil and Amnesia because they have a bit of mystery to them, i Re 45 you already know it's umbrella and they are evil and then you shoot some guys. All the uspense just kinda gets blown away.
Now that i'm writing about it it kinda makes mea bit weary of a sequel to Amnesia...that's a game that really doesn't need a sequel :P
That news is really more exciting compared to Project Zwei. We barely know anything about it to get excited. Kinda like Guillermo del Toro's Insane.
Survival Horror from one of the founding fathers??? YES PLEASE!
Art reminds me of Siren and the new Tomb Raider game that's set on a haunted island.
