Yep. TrackMania 2, and QuestMania are being developed by the same developer, Nadeo, and then published by Ubisoft. This engine is gorgeous. One of the best unsung engines out there. And it does look so much better in motion, than any screenshot has ever made it appear.

I keep wondering why Ubisoft won't license the engine from Nadeo, and make games with it themselves. Assassin's Creed would look sick with this engine, as would the Tom Clancy games.

Ubisoft doesn't have to license anything from Nadeo. They own them.

I'm looking forward to this. Tribes proved to me that people are still interested in competitive skill based arena style combat, and Nadeo is highly vocal about supporting eSports. This might be exactly the sort of thing that FPS needs right now. Ya know, along side Tribes. And while I still quite like Battlefield 3, all these games appear to complement each other very well, since none is really stepping too boldly into the territory of the other.

Awesome.

It's a decent engine but you are wayyyyy overestimating it and showing a pretty blatant ignorance of the process that would be required for that kind of thing. I think AC3 looks fantastic as it is, and this engine would not in any way make it look better.
