Poppermost launched today the "M3" update to its game Snow, currently available via Steam Early Access. You can found a trailer and some screenshots in the news.
Yeah, the animation coupled with the actual pose or stance of the character really cripples this as far as realism goes. The character doesn't lean or adjust leg position or movement according to the terrain as he goes over it. You might as well be controlling a wooden plank. This is something where a Euphoria based physics system would work wonders, and I'm really amazed that developers still aren't making more use of that engine. I understand this is an indie game, but still...surely middleware like Euphoria should be available like most SDK's are now for free.
You guys talk as it this is a game just released on all platforms for $60. LOL. Looks amazing for a couple of people working on it in their spare time. More than what I could do and most of you as well. I would love to see a new SSX game come out with this.

I understand what you're saying, but it's not 1996 any more. Something like that will stand out given the nature of the game they are making. It'd be like making a motorbike game where the rider is constantly sat up straight on his seat even when going around corners. It's just going to look wrong no matter what excuse you dress it with.
