So it's just a remake of the first one?
Must be hard to make a new style of graphics while keeping the magic of the classic one but so far it seems fine.

Umm....What justifies this game to be a sequel?? I thought I was looking at the first Sonic game. Another thing, couldn't this game have just been a bonus with any of the other games that were released dating back to the Dreamcast and now. This game didn't require any extensive dev work or engine production to make something in 2D. It's not Shadow Complex. I've been hearing about this game for a year now. Talk about building up hype. This game probably has an indie budget. It just seems wrong to slap a 4 on the end of it just to make the fans happy. Make me happy, and just give me a good 3D Sonic game with a good story with this Sonic4 released as a bonus gift or something.

Dude, didn't you notice Sega can't do a good 3-d Sonic?
So they go back to the proven formula, that the first 3 games had.

Yeah, I guess you guys are right. I guess I'm still having pipe dreams that one day they will release a 3D Sonic game that was as good as Mario64. Fourteen years and still waiting..........

I don't think the Sonic speed really warrants a good 3-d title, unless it's racing but they can't get that right either :D

Let's just be happy that sega realized that Sonic Team sucks ass and that sonic in 3d is not a good idea, at least until they hire people that are not complete berks to make it. Also i think they sort of need to revamp Sonics personality. There's no way i could ever identify or like his whiny, would be smartass wisecracking crap personality. So yeah, make him less annoying, let a competent team make it and stop trying to place him in some goddamn realistic world and maybe...MAYBE i'll be interested. For now good old 2d sonic seems to be as good as it get's and i'm not complaining.

Couldn't agree more with you !
This realistic worlds never really fitted into the sonic universe...but then they went into that direction :(

How unimaginative from the team that brought u nights ! Journey into dreams..

Not even Nintendo can replicate Mario64 so why would you expect Sega to do so ?

nice, thats one change i wanted to see happen. the running animation looks like the old games now. not like he's doing a slow jog.

now all they have to do is remove that god awful auto target attack crap. seriously, do sonic team think gamers are so skill-less that they can't jump on an enemies head themselves?
