Honestly, until a united quire of reviewers and gamersyders sing the praises of the Renaissance of Sonic, i won't be even slightly interested in this. Sega has just let me down too many times. I'd love for this to be good, but sonic doesn't exactly have a great track record anymore.

Ok, this is bordering on insanity! Why do they feel they need to ruin Sonic games with slow, boring characters?! I'll make this easy Sega: WE JUST WANT SONIC!!! The Sonic sections actually look great to me. But then the clunky "Were" stages bring back nightmares of Knuckles and such. I just don't get it. If the werehog stages are less than 5%, I can deal with that...but I fear it will be closer to 50%.

The speed part is reminding me of a mix between Sonic 2k6 and Sonic Heroes == Bad!

The more I see of this game, the more I don't want it.

Funnily, I'm quite fond of Sonic's closer circle of friends, and somehow this wouldn't seem half as awkward with Knuckles in place of bendy werehog Sonic.

I wish they'd just go back to the dynamic of Sonic Adventure's original setup. Give me a long Sonic only adventure and shorter Knuckles and Tails adventures. Have extra characters in there as parts of the story or as NPCs to keep the universe I admittedly love intact, but create compelling gameplay around the most beloved ones. Sonic 06 kind of had that down albeit with a Hedgehog only team, but it was a rushed glitch ridden mess.

God yes. Sonic Adventure was the perfect formula for a 3D Sonic game. It was the perfect mix of platforming and speed and although you had five other playable characters, it was one most people are fond of (with the exception of E-102 and Big) and they played a much smaller part in the game.

This game seems to have all the same problems as the Rush games, they lack platforming and thought, it's nothing but speed. The were wolf parts seem to be an attempt to make up for that, but they seem jarring and unnecessary here. Would it have been so hard to have some slower platforming parts of the level, without any silly gimmicks?

They at least seem to be getting back on the right track with the games, but I don't see this as being the redemption.

Yeah I agree, SA1 was pretty much how I always expected Sonic in 3D would be. I never understood why SEGA changed all of that.

This game looks more like a racing game on the Sega CD, where you die when you make the wrong choice.. which was exactly the thing I hated in Sonic 2k6 and Sonic Heroes.
To be honest, in Sonic 2k6, I found Silvers gameplay alot more enjoying then the crappy highspeed glitch stages of Sonic.
