Yeah, apparently Spawn/Link won't be in this one. Makes sense as I'm sure the license has expired to use them, and it was never cross platform. Definitely a bummer though.

The side by side bit of the video look a bit fake to me. The SD side is definitely "off" a bit. Ive got the original version of SC 2 and its nothing like that kind of blur.
Personally, I think that all these HD remakes are just run through some kind of automated upscale software, and transferred to a disk. Infact. Soul Calibur 2 on my pc using PCSX2 looks better that this

No, it's SF3 Third strike. My point is that games evolving is good, and to be fair, i don't think SCV deserves all the crap it gets. It's a competent fighter, even if it lacks a single player campaign :P

Also, compared to SF2, SF4 is fantastic in every way.

A solid Arcade-Mode/SP Campaign is a make-or-break criteria for me. If they're axing WeaponMaster mode again (like in the first), the remake isn't worth a nickel. After all, it was the WeaponMaster mode that kept me playing.

Soul Calibur 1 on the Dreamcast was the best as far as I'm concerned, and they've already HD'd that, so won't be needing this. Looks ok though!

You're absolutely correct. SCV is the shit. I don't know if it's better than SC2 though. Frankly, they're both great games.

I don't know if I can live without Pyrrah now :D

Lol. Ok.
You like modes that allow you to use special weapons and armors that adjust your stats and give you perks. You don't know what the best Soul Calibur is.

Must be trolling. You don't have the patience to learn how to play a fighting game period.

i like variety and options and handicap variations other then an extended health bar, correct. it is why SC2 is the best in the series.

It's just hilarious. No one else that likes Soul Calibur 2 best likes it for it's balance breaking scrub mode :D

I hope we get to see this series move forward. I would love to see a follow up to Soul Calibur V in the future. Oh man, with an expanded cast. Bring back some fan favorites and you're already on your way to a great extended roster. Soul Calibur V is a really fun game. I think I might hook my 360 back up today just to play it.

Plus, it turns out I need to play one more "last-gen" game in SC2 :D They should bring this to modern platforms.

Sadly, I suspect Soul Calibur isn't really that popular anymore. Like Virtua Fighter, its future seems a big unknown to me.
