Namco-Bandai releases thirty (!) images of Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, the PSP instalment of its famous fighting series. Even if one knows the power of Sony's portable machine, it must be stressed that the result is visually stunning.

the psp has a lot of quality titles coming. i really like the system, but i honestly thought it had it's moment around the time of the first loco roco and crisis core. but with the promis of games like this, GT, jak 4, motorstorm arctic edge, assassins creed, MGS peacewalker, parasite eve 3 and kingdom hearts birth by sleep...plus a load more, it seems the not-so-pocket-sized machine is getting a second wind.

It looks nice but what's the point when you can play it in 720p? And played it to death? I don't see what Namco was thinking here. Maybe they're banking on those few so obsessed with the CAS mode they'd buy one more version of the game just to create Anime Character X

And don't you dare refer to that abortion as Parasite Eve 3! It's Third Birthday and knowing Square Enix it'll be some god awful mix of Kingdom Hearts and The World Ends With You

you could say that about ANY handheld title in existence...why play chinatown wars when you can play GTA4, why play tekken dark resurection when you can play tekken 5 (and soon tekken 6)...hell, why do handheld titles exist at all...why dont the devs just make ps3/360 titles...it's a different market, and one i'm greatfull exists. afterall, carrying around a ps3/360 and monitor isnt all that practical. there isnt anywhere to plug it in on the bus for starters.

same rules apply tho, you're discrediting a game on ahandheld becasue it's on a handheld, afterall, not everyone will have soul calibur on a home console, not everyone will keep up to date with the series and play each and every sequel, hell, not all gamers have home consoles...PERIOD.

the handheld market is a valid one, as are the games on those systems. whether it's a port or a built from the ground up title, they all have their place.

Looks great. Lots of great looking PSP titles coming.

Are people thinking this is a port of SC4? This has new characters in it and will probably have a new story, its not a port of SC4.

Missin out.. but mostly only if you like rhythm games. That's where the PSP shines the most imo.

LoL, this looks better than tekken 6.

too bad the PSP is a horribly designed game system, and doesn't lend itself to gaming well with the controls setup. i use mine often, but sadly, for everything else but gaming.

It looks great for a handheld system, no question about that. But the only part that makes me play SC4 at all is the online play (neither VF5 has no players and PSN is a damn joke for me so no tekken). The second problem is, for me, the controls. I prefer stick and even if you can play it on a pad i find the PSP questionable in that area as well. Well, a good title for fans that happen to own a PSP i geuss :)

Spaceman: yeah it totally does. If you are a fanboy artard.
