I think they'd be totally justified in selling it as DLC.
Why get it on Xbox? Because if the dev team have put enough time into it, it will be just as good as it is on PC.
You may prefer PC, But don't turn it into some childish "consoles are rubbish" argument.
I might pick this up for my 360. Unless this game is seriously optimized (like COD4! <3 ), there's no way my poor 8600GT 512mb could run it.
"Why your even considering this game on a console is beyond me. Get the game on PC".
Now I'm sure the PC version is superiour and all, and my rig can easily run the game, but it's growing a bit tiresome reading the same "PC version is superiour" comments anytime a console/PC game comes up. Just like the responses in return to that in the form of: "PC gaming has died".
How am i being stubborn for feeling disappointed that the editors not included in the console port? They've already devoted the time to make sure its solid..unless you think they've done a half arsed version on the PC which they're happy throwing the editor with. The editors part of the tools designed to create the game dont forget.
Whats disappointing is that the last video they put out they were saying how they dont view console games/players any different from PC gamers..stepping away from that mentality of looking down on them as kids toys as aposed to the "serious hardcore gamers" of pc gaming. So theres no real reason it shouldnt of been included.
I dont personally see how they'd be justified in holding the map editor back to sell later as dlc if thats whats planned
As for the video- I love the attention they are giving to the sound( especially how you can hear people moving/interacting from a distance). Makes you aware of the importance of noise discipline. I do have to say that their recording methods must be a little off, because that does NOT sound like a real M16/M4(same thing basically) or M249( SAW). Not punchy enough. I'd say the SAW is the most painful sounding weapon I've ever fired( much harder on the ears than a .50 cal, oddly enough) and in this video it sounds pretty weak.
*Looks for the 'gaming discussion for dummies' forum section*
You said it yourself. The editor on PC is literally the developers tool they used to create the game. They just included it for PC.
They can't simply put that on the Xbox360 or PS3 disc and have it work. Or pop it in a "port to console" program.
There would need to be a whole development for that on console. And You've got to take into account consoles tech limitations, and the complexity of the editor itself. It would take alot of testing. The game as it is would be specifically scaled, it's not like you could throw 50 AI's in and it gets a bit choppy, it would literally brake.
So, I wouldn't put money on them hold back a perfectly stable mission editor specially for DLC. If so they must have one hell of a dev team and they deserve extra money.
Turning to one of your other points, I think when devs were talking about the perceived mentality of console gamers, they were talking more about gameplay. Looking down on consoles from a tech stand point is idiotic because my PC couldn't run virus.
But yet some people jump to the conclusion and bark loudest. Compensating much?
Either way, I apologize if I came off a bit strong. :)

"Why your even considering this game on a console is beyond me."
certainly seemed alot more hostile, whether you meant it or not.
