Trailer PC Xbox 360 PS3

After Watch_Dogs, another highly anticipated Ubisoft game must be delayed in order for the dev team to make sure it will please the fans. South Park: The Stick of Truth will only be released on March 6 in Europe, so presumably March 4 in North America. Here is the first gameplay trailer to ease the wait.

If this is representative of the whole game... then I'm gonna buy this.
This game seems thousand times more enticing than 99% of videogame titles out there or on the horizon (excluding Dark Souls 2, Mount & Blade: Bannerlord, Deep Down, i.a.).

Why is this game getting ignored? there's real potential with it..and its clearly nailed the humour of the tv show. The biggest thing going for it and the biggest thing going against it is Obsidian - great at telling stories, less great at offering polished bug free games

the only disappointing thing is that it's turn based gameplay

The biggest thing going against it is that it's being developed by one of the best Western RPG devs? I think they'll be fine.

Their Bethesda games are no more buggy than Bethesda's games.

I love that you can aim your farts.

This is going to be great. Surprisingly reminds me of Double Fine's Costume Quest, but this is Obsidian so I'm guessing the combat will be a bit deeper.

Have you spent considerable time with Bethesda's games? They're all a hot mess.

skyrim and fallout 3. There's bugs and glitches sure..but nothing compared to Fallout vegas - game breaking bugs that have been well documented. And it's also not like Obsidians lack of quality control is restricted to Bethesda games is it. Did you ever play Alpha protocol? star wars knights of the republic 2? both also have a well documented lack of polish when it comes to bugs and glitches.

So like I said... the biggest thing going for it and going against it is the studio behind it. Why you're offended by that when you state yourself that they're no worse than Bethesda...yet then follow by saying Bethesda's games are a hot mess, only you know.

Just... I mean... there are no game breaking bugs in Bethesda games? COME ON! And that last sentence... lol... what?

KOTOR2 had massive development issues. New Vegas? New Vegas was fine. Compared to an ordinary Bethesda release.

I think Obsidian is the reason this is interesting. Not a cause for concern.

Gonna have to agree with Grift here. Obsidian is a big plus, as is the direct involvement of Matt and Trey. Those two points are basically what makes me confident that this will at the very least be a fun/interesting experience.

what exactly are you agreeing with Grift about? to agree to something you have to disagree to something else...and nobodies said Obsidians not a big plus going for the game?

But my concern is that Obsidian don't have the greatest track record when it comes to releasing bug free experiences. And when the only argument against that is they offer no worse a buggy experience than Bethesda's own games which are described as a "hot mess"..well gee, even if that was the case its hardly an argument for comfort is it?

As for Vegas being "fine" compared to an ordinary? (lets say fallout 3) release? no..not really. But like I said, that was all well documented at the time. KOTOR2 had development issues?..well thank god southparks developments been smooth. And Alpha protocol? probably time restraints, I don't know.

Welcome to the internet folks.. where people say shit for the sake of saying shit.

You're definitely saying a lot of shit.

And he's agreeing that Obsidian is no cause for concern. That was kind of obvious.

heh am I? if you say so honey pie. I'm not saying that southparks going to be a "hot mess" (I really hope its not). Just that Obsidian don't have the greatest track record..which isn't opinion its kinda fact. But if you tell me that's not a valid concern then fine.. you've argued your point well.

Yes. I have. You probably think that calling me "honey pie" and treating the entire conversation like it's ridiculous is really good point making too.
